Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced they have sold Luke Cundle to Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
The struggling Premier League outfit are in the market for fresh faces ahead of the February 3 deadline, a centre-back and central midfielder known to be on Vitor Pereira's radar.
However, despite the current shortage in the middle area of the pitch, Wolves have given the green light for Cundle to make the switch to The Den.
Although a transfer fee has not been revealed by either club, it is reported that Millwall are paying £1m to sign the 22-year-old.
Millwall have money to spend from the £12m that they generated from the sale of Romain Esse to Crystal Palace earlier in the winter window.
⚡️ A creative spark.

🤝 We're delighted to welcome midfielder Luke Cundle to #Millwall Football Club.
Valuable Championship experience
Cundle may have failed to make a single first-team appearance for Wolves during 2024-25 but he moves to East London with vast experience in the second tier of English football.
A total of eight goals and 11 assists have come from 72 appearances across loan spells with Swansea City, Plymouth Argyle and Stoke City.
Furthermore, Cundle made seven senior outings for Wolves after progressing through the academy setup, most notably in February 2022 when he played 84 minutes during a 2-0 victory away at Tottenham Hotspur.
Ninety minutes also came in a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United two months later, but Bruno Lage opted to loan out the prospect later that year rather than keep him in his plans.

Good business from Wolves
At a time when Wolves are often criticised for their approach to transfers, recouping £1m for an academy graduate strengthens their position with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.
Wolves were already in a stronger position than 12 months ago through the sales of Max Kilman and Pedro Neto, yet it creates further leeway for new additions.
A solution could be found for wantaway midfielder Mario Lemina to further add to Pereira's transfer pot, and it may be needed to convince Lens centre-back Kevin Danso to make the switch to Molineux.
Essentially down to three central midfielders, adding depth to that position will also be a priority over the next 72 hours.
