Chelsea and Leicester City announce their starting lineups for Sunday's Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea and Leicester City have announced their first XIs for Sunday's Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge.

Given his selection for Thursday's Conference League fixture in Copenhagen, Enzo Maresca had seemingly given clues as to who could start versus the Foxes.

Instead, the Italian has made a number of surprise selections, including starting goalkeeper Robert Sanchez between the sticks ahead of Filip Jorgensen.

Furthermore, Wesley Fofana has been included in the starting lineup at right-back, making his first appearance since suffering a hamstring injury on December 1.

Romeo Lavia is also named on the substitutes' bench for the first time in almost two months in another welcome boost for his boss.

Reece James has been rested with the second leg versus Copenhagen in mind, but the front four is as expected with Pedro Neto or Christopher Nkunku in line to start down the middle of the attack.

Van Nistelrooy tinkers with Leicester XI

Meanwhile, Ruud van Nistelrooy has seemingly switched to a back five for the trip to West London in a bid to turn around Leicester's fortunes.

Conor Coady has been brought into the team with Jannik Vestergaard dropping out, while Victor Kristiansen looks in line to feature on the left-hand side of the central three.

Although Patson Daka has been brought into the attack alongside Jamie Vardy, Facundo Buonanotte and Bobby De Cordova-Reid are only named among the replacements.

Chelsea XI: Sanchez; Fofana, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku; Neto

Subs: Jorgensen, Acheampong, Antwi, Badiashile, Chalobah, Amougou, Lavia, Dewsbury-Hall, George

Leicester City XI: Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Coady, Kristiansen, Thomas; Ndidi, Soumare; El Khannouss; Daka, Vardy

Subs: Stolarczyk, Okoli, Ricardo, Coulibaly, Winks, Buonanotte, Mavididi, De Cordova-Reid, Ayew
