Sunday's La Liga predictions including Real Madrid vs. Rayo Vallecano

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Real Madrid vs. Rayo Vallecano.

Getafe vs. Atletico (Sunday, 1.00pm)

Atletico Madrid will be bidding to return to winning ways when they head to Getafe on Sunday afternoon, with Diego Simeone's side firmly involved in the La Liga title race entering the latter stages of the campaign.

The Red and Whites are currently second in the La Liga table, one point behind the leaders Barcelona, while Getafe sit in 14th position, six points above the relegation zone.

We say: Getafe 0-1 Atletico Madrid

It was 1-0 to Atletico when the two sides locked horns for the reverse match earlier this season, and we are expecting the same scoreline here; Getafe do not concede many, but they struggle to score, and we fancy a narrow Atletico success here.

Real Madrid vs. Rayo Vallecano (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Spanish champions Real Madrid will be bidding to return to winning ways in La Liga when they welcome European-chasing Rayo Vallecano to Bernabeu on Sunday afternoon what is shaping up to be an interesting fixture.

Los Blancos suffered a 2-1 defeat to Real Betis last weekend, and they are currently third in the La Liga table, three points off the leaders Barcelona, while Rayo are seventh, two points behind sixth-placed Real Betis.

We say: Real Madrid 2-0 Rayo Vallecano

Rayo have been excellent this season, but the visitors will be missing so many important players this weekend - a full-strength Rayo side could have made this very difficult for Real Madrid, but taking into account their availability issues, we are fully expecting Los Blancos to record a routine home victory on Sunday afternoon.

Athletic Bilbao vs. Mallorca (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Athletic Bilbao will be aiming to bounce back from successive defeats when they continue their La Liga campaign with a home fixture against Mallorca on Sunday evening.

The Basque outfit were beaten 1-0 by Atletico Madrid in La Liga last weekend before going down 2-1 to Roma in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash on Thursday night, while Mallorca will enter this game off the back of a 1-1 draw with Alaves in Spain's top flight.

We say: Athletic Bilbao 1-0 Mallorca

Three of the last five La Liga matches between these two sides have finished 0-0, and we are expecting it to be a tight affair on Sunday; another draw cannot be ruled out, but we just have a feeling that Athletic will be able to navigate their way to an important three points.

Betis vs. Las Palmas (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Real Betis will be bidding to make it four straight victories in La Liga when they continue their campaign with a home contest against Las Palmas on Sunday evening.

The Green and Whites recorded a famous 2-1 win over Real Madrid last weekend, and they are sixth in the La Liga table, while 17th-placed Las Palmas ended their four-game losing run with a 1-1 draw against basement side Real Valladolid last time out.

We say: Real Betis 2-0 Las Palmas

Las Palmas are better than what they have shown in recent weeks, but this is a really tough ask against an in-form Real Betis outfit, and we are expecting Pellegrini's side to secure all three points in routine fashion this weekend.

Real Sociedad vs. Sevilla (Sunday, 8.00pm)

After facing Manchester United in Thursday's Europa League clash, Real Sociedad will now turn their attention back to La Liga action for Sunday's home meeting with Sevilla.

The hosts head into the weekend in ninth place in the standings, while the visitors are just one point behind in 12th position.

We say: Real Sociedad 1-1 Sevilla

Real Sociedad will do their utmost to stop their focus from wandering towards Thursday's Europa League clash at Old Trafford, but there is ultimately a risk they may have one eye on their return leg against Man United, and we think their balancing act could hinder their chances of claiming all three points.

We ultimately believe Sevilla will do enough to hold their hosts to a draw, especially as they have drawn five of their last eight matches.
