Barcelona injury, suspension news vs. Mallorca: Robert Lewandowski, Alejandro Balde, Marc-Andre ter Stegen updates

Sports Mole looks at Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Mallorca.

Barcelona will be aiming to continue their charge towards the La Liga title when they tackle Mallorca on Tuesday night.

The Catalan giants will enter the match off the back of a 4-3 victory over Celta Vigo, with Raphinha deciding the match from the penalty spot in the 98th minute, handing the title hopefuls another huge three points.

Hansi Flick's side are top of the La Liga table, seven points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, while they are also chasing Copa del Rey and Champions League success in the latter stages of the campaign.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Mallorca, who are seventh in Spain's top flight and aiming to secure qualification for next season's Europa League.

Robert Lewandowski

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: May 11 (vs. Real Madrid)

Lewandowski was forced off with a hamstring injury in the latter stages of the clash with Celta, and it is understood that the Poland international is facing three weeks on the sidelines in a major blow for the Catalan team.

Marc Bernal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, and he is out for the season, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Real Valladolid)

Barcelona remain without their number one goalkeeper Ter Stegen due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in the clash with Villarreal on September 22. However, the German is now back on the training field and making excellent progress in his recovery, with a return in the early stages of May believed to be a genuine possibility.

Marc Casado

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Midfielder Casado picked up a knee injury during the La Liga clash with Atletico before the March international break, and it is likely that he will now be absent for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

Alejandro Balde
