Arsenal injury, suspension list and return dates for Brentford: Riccardo Calafiori, Bukayo Saka

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League contest with Brentford.

Arsenal are back in action on Saturday evening when they play host to Brentford in the Premier League.

The Gunners will be returning to the Emirates Stadium just four days after they produced their performance of the season to beat Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final.

While Mikel Arteta will naturally contemplate resting many of his star players for this contest, Arsenal are still in contention for the Premier League title, sitting in second place in the table and trailing leaders Liverpool by 11 points with seven matches remaining.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of a meeting with a Brentford side that will want to respond to squandering chances to beat Chelsea last time out.

Possible return date: Unknown

Gabriel Jesus is on the long road to recovery from the severe knee injury he sustained against Manchester United in January's FA Cup defeat, and there is a chance that he will not play again until 2026.

Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Arsenal's second Brazilian named Gabriel to miss the rest of the season, Gabriel Magalhaes suffered a serious hamstring problem against Fulham at the beginning of the month and is working to be fit for pre-season.

Also in the Gunners' season-ending injuries club, Takehiro Tomiyasu has made just one appearance this term due to a pair of devastating knee injuries, and his latest one might keep him out until 2026.

Kai Havertz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Kai Havertz tore his hamstring during Arsenal's mid-season trip to Dubai, leaving the Gunners without a recognised centre-forward as he bids to recover. However, Arteta hinted on Friday that there is still a chance that the Germany international could return before the end of the season.

Riccardo Calafiori

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 20 (vs. Ipswich Town)

Riccardo Calafiori ought to be the next cab off the rank in terms of Arsenal's injury victims, but he is still expected to miss this game and the second leg with Real Madrid.

Bukayo Saka

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: April 12 (vs. Brentford)

After accumulating 69 minutes across two games after a long layoff with a hamstring injury, Bukayo Saka got through 74 minutes against Real Madrid. However, he left the pitch with what appeared to be an ankle knock. Combined with the possibility of fatigue and being rested, the winger is a doubt for this encounter.

Declan Rice

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 12 (vs. Brentford)

On the back of his two mesmeric free kicks against Real Madrid, Declan Rice needed to be withdrawn during the closing stages with some kind of injury. However, it is believed to only be a minor issue and he may be considered for selection for this match.
