Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Heidenheim vs. Bayern Munich

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Heidenheim vs. Bayern Munich.

RB Leipzig vs. Holstein Kiel (Saturday, 2.30pm)

A defeat for RB Leipzig at Red Bull Arena on Saturday against visitors Holstein Kiel could see them drop out of the Bundesliga's final Champions League spot.

Die Roten Bullen are fourth with 48 points after beating Wolfsburg 3-2 on April 11, and they will be expected to defeat last-placed Holstein Kiel, who are in 18th place with just 18 points following their 2-1 loss against St Pauli last Saturday.

We say: RB Leipzig 1-0 Holstein Kiel

Leipzig's ability to create chances could be impacted by the absence of Simons, who has been key to their attacking displays.

However, it is difficult to see Holstein Kiel taking advantage given their poor form, and they could be punished during counter-attacks if they push forward to try and claim all three points.

Heidenheim vs. Bayern (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Bayern Munich can move within four points of winning the Bundesliga title should they beat hosts Heidenheim at Voith-Arena on Saturday.

Heidenheim are third last in 16th place in the relegation playoff spot with 22 points while the Bavarians were held to a 2-2 stalemate by fierce rivals Borussia Dortmund last Saturday but their points total of 69 is still six more than second-placed Bayer Leverkusen.

We say: Heidenheim 1-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern will want to put their Champions League exit behind them, and they could start quickly against their hosts.

Although Heidenheim have not often conceded multiple goals, it would not be surprising if they ultimately fell short against the Bavarians.

Werder Bremen vs. VfL Bochum (Saturday, 2.30pm)

In a crucial clash that will have significant ramifications on the battle for Europe and the race for survival in the Bundesliga, Werder Bremen will host VfL Bochum on Saturday at Weserstadion.

Ninth-placed Werder Bremen have 42 points and come into the game having beaten Stuttgart 2-1 on April 13, while the visitors are second last in 17th place with just 20 points and are nine points and two places from guaranteed safety.

We say: Werder Bremen 3-1 VfL Bochum

There is little reason to suggest that Werder Bremen will not achieve victory on Saturday, especially considering their attack and defence have flourished in recent weeks.

Bochum have at least proven they are able to create chances, but their frailty at the back is likely to see them drop points on the weekend.

Freiburg vs. Hoffenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Freiburg's quest to qualify for the Champions League continues on Saturday when they welcome Hoffenheim to Europa-Park Stadion in their fourth last Bundesliga game of the season.

The sixth-placed hosts beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1 on April 12, and their tally of 45 points is only three fewer than fourth-placed RB Leipzig, whereas Hoffenheim are fifth last in 14th place with 30 points but did emerge as 2-0 victors against Mainz 05 last Saturday.

We say: Freiburg 1-1 Hoffenheim

Freiburg's form is concerning, as is their defensive frailty, and it is hard to see them keeping Hoffenheim at bay.

While the visitors have not been particularly strong at the back, they could take advantage of their hosts' struggles and come away from Europa-Park Stadion with at least a point.

Mainz vs. Wolfsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Looking to keep their hopes of a Champions League finish alive, Mainz 05 will welcome Wolfsburg to MEWA Arena on Saturday afternoon in the Bundesliga.

Die Nullfunfer were defeated at the base of Hoffenheim last time out, whilst Die Wolfe suffered a heartbreaking loss at home versus a resurgent RB Leipzig.

We say: Mainz 05 2-1 Wolfsburg

Unbeaten since October at home in the Bundesliga, Mainz should be confident of getting their Champions League charge back on track this weekend.

Wolfsburg are marooned in mid-table as their seasons begins to peter out, and we feel that Die Wolfe will suffer a fifth straight defeat on Saturday afternoon.

Union Berlin vs. Stuttgart (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Aiming to confirm their status as a top-flight club for another season, Union Berlin will host Stuttgart in the Bundesliga at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei on Saturday evening.

Die Eisernen picked up a respectable point at the German champions last time out, whilst Die Roten suffered a sobering defeat on home soil to Werder Bremen.

We say: Union Berlin 1-0 Stuttgart

After a hard-fought point at Leverkusen last weekend, Union Berlin should be confident of winning against a struggling Stuttgart this weekend.

With five games remaining of the Bundesliga term, Die Roten could have one eye on the DFB Pokal final versus third-tier Arminia Bielefeld next month.
