Saturday's La Liga predictions including Atletico Madrid vs. Real Sociedad

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Atletico Madrid vs. Real Sociedad.

Valencia vs. Getafe (Saturday, 1.00pm)

Aiming to continue their climb towards the top half of the La Liga table, Valencia will welcome Getafe to the Estadio de Mestalla on Saturday.

The hosts have climbed to 12th spot and three points above their visitors thanks to a nine-match unbeaten streak in Spain's top flight and trail 10th place by just two points.

We say: Valencia 2-0 Getafe

With the hosts gaining in momentum and climbing towards the European spots under Carlos Corberan and the visitors limping towards the end of the season with their squad freshly hit by suspensions, we can only envisage Valencia taking another three-point haul from Saturday's meeting on home turf.

Celta Vigo vs. Sevilla (Saturday, 3.15pm)

Celta Vigo will be aiming to get their European challenge back on track when they welcome Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday afternoon.

The home side are currently seventh in the La Liga table, two points ahead of eighth-placed Rayo Vallecano in the battle to qualify for the Europa League, while Sevilla are 16th, six points outside of the relegation zone with four games left.

We say: Celta Vigo 2-1 Sevilla

Celta need to bounce back this weekend in order to boost their European hopes, and they will be confident of overcoming a struggling Sevilla; we are expecting a tight match in terms of the scoreline, but the hosts should be able to navigate their way to all three points.

Girona vs. Villarreal (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Villarreal's fight to secure a top-five position in the La Liga table and Champions League qualification for the 2025-26 campaign will continue on Saturday evening when they make the trip to Girona.

The Yellow Submarine are fifth in the division, one point clear of sixth-placed Real Betis, while Girona occupy 15th, six points clear of the relegation zone with four games left.

We say: Girona 1-2 Villarreal

Villarreal need wins at this stage of the campaign to keep them in the top five, and we are backing the Yellow Submarine to edge a close match on Saturday, with Girona already suffering seven home league defeats during the 2024-25 campaign.

Mallorca vs. Valladolid (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Mallorca will be aiming to get their European challenge back on track when they continue their La Liga campaign with a home fixture against already-relegated Real Valladolid on Saturday evening.

The Pirates are 10th in the La Liga table, level on points with eighth-placed Rayo Vallecano in the race for Europe, while Real Valladolid are rock bottom of the division, with their relegation to the Segunda Division already being confirmed.

We say: Mallorca 1-0 Real Valladolid

Mallorca have only scored 31 times in La Liga this season, which is the joint-second worst attacking record behind Real Valladolid, so we are not expecting a high-scoring affair on Saturday, but the hosts should be able to navigate their way to a vital three points.

Atletico vs. Real Sociedad (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Atletico Madrid will be aiming to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they host Real Sociedad on Saturday evening.

Diego Simeone's side will enter the match off the back of a goalless draw with Alaves, while Real Sociedad, who are in European contention approaching the end of the season, drew 0-0 with Athletic Bilbao in the Basque derby last weekend.

We say: Atletico Madrid 1-0 Real Sociedad

We are not expecting Saturday's clash to be a high-scoring affair, and it would not be a complete shock to see a goalless draw, but Atletico, with home advantage, should be able to return to winning ways against an inconsistent Real Sociedad.
