Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly agreed to sign a long-term contract with Real Madrid.
The Liverpool star confirmed on Monday morning that he will leave his boyhood club when his deal expires at the end of the season.
Liverpool made a series of contract offers in a bid to keep Alexander-Arnold at Anfield, but he has ultimately decided that he wants to try a new experience at this stage of his career.
It is now only a matter of time until the 26-year-old is officially announced as the latest star name to join Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold agrees long-term deal
According to The Athletic, Alexander-Arnold has agreed to sign a six-year deal to keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2031.
The report claims that the final details are being ironed out, with the right-back expected to put pen to paper on his Real Madrid contract in the coming weeks.
That proposed contract is set to start from July, but Real Madrid are keen to recruit him before the Club World Cup starts in June.
Los Blancos will begin the group stage against Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal on June 18, before they face Pachuca of Mexico and Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

No agreement in place for Alexander-Arnold release
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool have not reached an agreement to release Alexander-Arnold early from his contract.
Real Madrid are willing to offer £500,000 to recruit the full-back before the Club World Cup, but Liverpool are believed to be looking for more than £1m.
As a result, Alexander-Arnold may have to wait until the start of next season to make his competitive Real Madrid debut unless the two clubs can reach an agreement in the near future.
Meanwhile, the Liverpool academy product has just three games left to play before he bids farewell to his boyhood club.
The Premier League champions will play host to Arsenal on Sunday before they wrap up the campaign with games against Brighton & Albion and Crystal Palace.
