Liverpool boss Arne Slot is reportedly considering making a move for a Real Madrid star, with the Dutchman keen on helping Mohamed Salah in attack.

Liverpool are said to have considered making a move for Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo, with boss Arne Slot keen on strengthening his forward options.

The Reds suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea on Sunday, though the loss ultimately mattered little given they have already been declared Premier League champions.

Perhaps of more concern to boss Arne Slot will be the fact that his side rarely created threatening moments in the final third, with talisman Mohamed Salah failing to register a goal contribution.

In fact, the Egyptian has only scored one goal in his last eight games for the Merseysiders while registering just one assist in that time.

It is no surprise that Liverpool appear to be in the market for another forward to help the winger, and GIVEMESPORT claims that Real Madrid's Rodrygo could be a realistic option for the Reds if they opt to pursue the Brazilian.

Would Rodrygo make sense for Liverpool?

Rodrygo has endured a difficult campaign with Real, with the 24-year-old often being used on the right side of attack in order to accommodate the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.

Despite not being utilised in his favoured left-sided role in attack, the forward has still managed to score 13 goals and register nine assists in all competitions.

The Brazilian is also comfortable operating in a more central role, and his strong link play would arguably help get more from Salah, who can be limited if he does not have appropriate support around him.

Why Liverpool must help Salah

Salah leads the way in the Premier League for goals (28) and assists (18), but no other Reds player has scored more than 12 or produced more than five assists in the top flight this term.

Strikers Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota have failed to impress, while winger Luis Diaz has at times been inconsistent from the left.

Given Salah is 32 and may need more support as he ages in order to maximise his productivity, Slot must strengthen in attack as a matter of priority, and Rodrygo's versatility could help lengthen the Egyptian's career at the top level.
