Ruben Amorim has admitted that he does not know where the future of Alejandro Garnacho lies amid speculation that he will leave Manchester United.
The Red Devils emerged as 2-0 victors against Aston Villa in controversial circumstances on Sunday, though fans will be relieved that the team managed to win their final Premier League match of the season.
United finished 15th in the league with just 42 points, their lowest ever points tally and placement in the competition's history.
While the club will need to make additions in the summer in order to improve their fortunes next term, they are reportedly strained financially and may be forced to sell players first.
Garnacho has frequently been linked with a move away, and speaking to journalists in the aftermath of his side's game against Aston Villa, Amorim offered no guarantees that the winger would stay, saying: "Garnacho is one more player of Manchester United, so I don't know what is going to happen in the future. He is a normal player."
The 20-year-old publicly aired his frustration at not starting in the Europa League final last Wednesday against Tottenham Hotspur, and his relationship with Amorim looks beyond repair.

Why United must make it work with Amorim
Amorim has faced criticism for his failings in the Premier League, with the Portuguese winning seven of his 27 top-flight games in charge, losing 14 times.
The United boss will be under significant pressure at the start of next season, and he will likely have to deliver immediate results if he is to avoid being sacked.
If the Red Devils stick by him this summer, the head coach will almost certainly bring in a number of players that suit his 3-4-3 system following the exits of stars like Garnacho.
However, should United part ways with the Portuguese after such an outlay, then the rarity of Amorim's style could mean that any replacement would be stuck with an ill-fitting squad.
Given the club's poor financial health, the prospect of once again having to rebuild the team could prove catastrophic, which means there is extra incentive to make sure that the current boss succeeds.
