Tuesday's League Two predictions including Cheltenham vs. Walsall

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League Two fixtures, including Cheltenham vs. Walsall.

Tranmere vs. Accrington (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two sides aiming for a strong close to the year lock horns in round 22 of the League Two as Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley go head to head at Prenton Park on Boxing Day.

With two games left to go in 2024, both teams find themselves separated by just two points and three places at the bottom end of the standings and will head into Thursday's clash in search of a pick-me-up.

We say: Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Accrington Stanley

With just two points separating Tranmere and Accrington at the wrong end of the table, we expect both sides to go all out in search of a morale-boosting result as they look to gather momentum ahead of the new year. Adkins's men have won their most recent four home games against Accrington and we are backing them to come away with all three points once again, albeit by the odd goal.

Cheltenham vs. Walsall (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

After an incredible run in the first half of this season's League Two, Walsall will aim to continue their impressive form as they travel to Gloucestershire to face Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road on Saturday.

The Saddlers head into this encounter 12 points clear at the summit, despite having played one game fewer than second-placed Doncaster Rovers, while the hosts sit 21 points behind in 13th with 31 points.

We say: Cheltenham Town 1-2 Walsall

Walsall enter the contest in scintillating form, having won their last eight matches across all competitions, including seven in the league.

With their remarkable momentum and defensive resilience, the league leaders will be confident of extending their winning run this weekend.

Bromley vs. Bradford (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Fifth-placed Bradford City's quest for automatic promotion from League Two continues on Tuesday when they travel to face Bromley at Hayes Lane.

Bromley are 10th with 45 points, seven points and three places from the fourth and final promotion playoff spot, while Bradford have 57 points following their 2-0 win against MK Dons on Saturday but are level on points with third-placed AFC Wimbledon.

We say: Bromley 1-2 Bradford City

Bradford should be considered favourites given their outstanding form in League Two, though they may find Bromley's defence difficult to break down.

The hosts will take confidence from the fact the visitors have been poor on the road, but it remains to be seen if their improved showings at the back will continue.

Gillingham vs. Fleetwood (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

As part of Saturday's League Two action, John Coleman is set to take charge of his first game as Gillingham boss when they host Fleetwood Town at Priestfield Stadium.

Both sides come into the clash with fresh ideas in the dugout and are looking to bounce back from losses, though the hosts have lost three consecutive games and are in particularly poor form.

We say: Gillingham 0-1 Fleetwood Town

Both teams are looking to kickstart the second part of their season by earning their first win under their new manager, so expect Saturday's game to be a close-fought contest.

However, despite the potential 'new manager bounce' that Gillingham might experience, the fact that they have not scored for three consecutive games makes it difficult to envision them taking anything from this weekend's clash.
