Tuesday's League One predictions including Bristol Rovers vs. Birmingham

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Bristol Rovers vs. Birmingham.

Barnsley vs. Exeter (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Both aiming to end winless runs and climb back up the League One table, Barnsley and Exeter City will do battle at Oakwell on Tuesday.

The hosts have failed to win any of their last five outings, including three under the temporary charge of Conor Hourihane, while their visitors dropped to 17th spot following a defeat at the weekend.

We say: Barnsley 2-1 Exeter City

Barnsley are certainly devoid of confidence having seen their playoff hopes fade, but they do have the quality to get past Tuesday's visitors and we back the Reds to record a first victory under Hourihane at Oakwell.

Blackpool vs. Reading (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two teams battling for a place in the League One playoff positions will clash on Tuesday night as Blackpool host Reading at Bloomfield Road.

The hosts are 10th in the table and trail the top six by five points, while the visitors are sixth in the standings with a one-point lead over seventh-placed Huddersfield Town.

We say: Blackpool 1-1 Reading

Blackpool have a strong record against Reading at home, but with the Tangerines drawing a significant 11 times at home this season and Reading drawing seven times on the road in the league, we expect this one to end all square.

Burton Albion vs. Leyton Orient (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two teams at opposing ends of the League One table will come together on Tuesday night as relegation-battling Burton Albion host playoff hopefuls Leyton Orient.

The hosts are 21st in the league table and trail safety by six points, while the visitors are ninth in the standings and just three points behind the playoff places.

We say: Burton Albion 0-2 Leyton Orient

Burton are the worst team in the league when playing at home - with just 14 points from 18 home fixtures - while Leyton Orient have taken 26 points from 18 away games, leading us to expect a victory for the visitors.

Cambridge vs. Wrexham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Wrexham will be aiming to make it four straight wins in League One when the promotion contenders head to a struggling Cambridge United on Tuesday night.

The visitors are currently second in the League One table, three points clear of third-placed Wycombe Wanderers, while Cambridge United are 23rd, 11 points behind 20th-placed Bristol City in the battle to remain in the division.

We say: Cambridge United 0-2 Wrexham

Cambridge are chasing a first success over Wrexham in over 25 years, but we are finding it very difficult to back the hosts here; Wrexham are flying at the moment, and the Welsh outfit should be able to navigate their way to all three points without too much fuss.

Crawley vs. Peterborough (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Relegation-battling Crawley Town will host middling Peterborough United at The People's Pension Stadium on Tuesday night for a League One encounter.

The hosts are 22nd in the league table, trailing safety by six points, while the visitors are 15th in the standings, nine points above relegation and 17 behind the playoff places.

We say: Crawley Town 2-1 Peterborough United

While Crawley have endured a largely miserable campaign, they have been significantly improved since Lindsey's return, and we believe they will continue their momentum with another win against Peterborough United on Tuesday.

Lincoln vs. Huddersfield (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Aiming to bounce back from a 4-0 beating at the weekend and return to the top six of the League One table, Huddersfield Town will travel to the LNER Stadium to take on Lincoln City on Tuesday.

The visitors fell outside of the playoff spots on Saturday, while their hosts sit 12th following an away defeat of their own.

We say: Lincoln City 1-2 Huddersfield Town

Badly hit by injuries and lacking momentum, Huddersfield Town have failed to make their quality count in recent months, but we back them to bounce back from the weekend's beating on Tuesday and get past a Lincoln City side who have fallen out of the playoff picture.

Mansfield vs. Charlton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

As the race for promotion heats up in League One, Charlton Athletic are set to travel to face Mansfield Town at One Call Stadium on Tuesday.

The Stags will be looking for their third win on the bounce in midweek, while the Addicks will be hoping to make it four victories from five.

We say: Mansfield Town 1-2 Charlton Athletic

Mansfield will be keen to prove that they are back on track after struggling in the early months of 2025, so expect them to be on the scoresheet.

However, Charlton are in strong form overall despite their middling away record, and they are likely to add three more points to their push for promotion on Tuesday.

Northampton vs. Rotherham (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

After parting ways with manager Steve Evans, Rotherham United are set to travel to Sixfield Stadium to take on Northampton Town on Tuesday in an important clash at the lower end of League One.

The Cobblers are winless in their last three and will see this game as a golden opportunity to put points on the board, while the Millers will be hoping to see an instant bounce back under their new interim boss.

We say: Northampton Town 1-1 Rotherham United

Neither side are in the strongest form at the moment, but with the threat of relegation looming large, Northampton will be keen to make the most of their chance against a struggling side in midweek.

However, Rotherham could be invigorated by the arrival of a fresh face in the dugout, and the new manager bounce - even after such a short span of time - could help them to avoid defeat on Tuesday.

As the race for promotion from League One intensifies, Stockport County will welcome struggling Stevenage to Edgeley Park on Tuesday.

The Hatters will be looking to build on their win last time out, while the Boro are without a win of their own for four games and will be hoping to bounce back in midweek.

We say: Stockport County 2-0 Stevenage

Stockport are in strong form ahead of this clash, and with their place in the playoffs looking more secure by the week, they will be looking to bolster their immense home record and add three more points to their total.

Contrastingly, Stevenage have struggled over the past month, and they may find it difficult to score against one of the division's strongest teams on Tuesday.

Wigan vs. Bolton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

In a clash that will impact the race for promotion and battle for survival in League One, hosts Wigan Athletic will play eighth-placed Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday at the Brick Community Stadium.

Wigan are in 18th place with 44 points following their 1-1 draw with Barnsley on Saturday and are eight points and three places from the relegation zone, while Bolton have 60 points and lost 2-1 against Blackpool on March 29.

We say: Wigan Athletic 2-1 Bolton Wanderers

Wigan's impressive record against Bolton should make them clear favourites to achieve victory on Tuesday.

While the hosts have struggled for wins in recent weeks, Bolton's form is poor and they could find it difficult to get back into the game should they concede first.

Wycombe vs. Shrewsbury (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two teams at opposite ends of the League One table will come together on Tuesday night as automatic promotion-hunting Wycombe Wanderers host bottom-of-the-pack Shrewsbury Town.

The hosts are third in the league standings, only three points outside the automatic promotion places, while the visitors are bottom of the table, 14 points adrift of safety.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 3-0 Shrewsbury Town

Wycombe are undoubtedly the favourites heading into this clash, and given the huge contrast in quality and performances this term, we expect a comfortable win for the hosts.

Bristol Rovers vs. Birmingham (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Birmingham City will be aiming to continue their charge towards the League One title when they travel to Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night.

The visitors are top of the League One table, nine points clear of second-placed Wrexham with two games in hand, while Bristol Rovers sit 20th, six points above 21st-placed Burton Albion in the battle to remain in the division.

We say: Bristol Rovers 0-2 Birmingham City

Bristol Rovers are seeking a first win over Birmingham since January 1980, but we are finding it so difficult to back against the Blues here; it should be a relatively routine success for a side destined for a quick return to the Championship.
