Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim confirms his starting side for Sunday's Premier League clash against Brentford, with Chido Obi making his full debut.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed his starting side for Sunday's Premier League clash against Brentford.

Amorim promised to ring the changes for the Premier League contest, with the match coming before the second leg of the team's Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night.

The 20-time English champions are in a commanding position in the tie, having recorded a 3-0 victory in the first leg, but no chances will be taken for the return match at Old Trafford, so Amorim is set to name his strongest side for the European fixture.

The headline team news involves Chido Obi, with the 17-year-old set to feature through the middle for the Red Devils.

Obi is making his first start for the Red Devils, and he will be bidding to hit his first senior goal on Sunday afternoon.

Obi, Fredricson both start for Man United at Brentford

Tyler Fredricson made a huge impression on his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, and the centre-back has received another start against the Bees.

Patrick Dorgu will switch across to the right-sided wing-back role, with Noussair Mazraoui being rested, while Harry Amass will feature down the left, with Luke Shaw being used as a third centre-back.

Manuel Ugarte is perhaps a surprise starter considering his energy-zapping performance against Athletic, and he is expected to be joined in central midfield by Kobbie Mainoo, with Mason Mount featuring in the front three.

Alejandro Garnacho is also included, and the Argentina international will be bidding to build on what was a disciplined performance against Athletic in the Europa League last time out.

Who is on the Man United bench?

Somewhat surprisingly, Amorim has decided against naming any youth players on the bench, with Harry Maguire, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund among the substitutes.

Amad Diallo, who made his return from injury off the bench against Athletic, is also on the bench, and the Ivory Coast international will be bidding to secure more minutes at some stage of the match.

Matthijs de Ligt starts after making his return as a substitute against Athletic, and the Netherlands international is likely to be in the XI for the second leg, providing that he comes through this fixture unscathed.

There is no Andre Onana in the squad, meanwhile, with Tom Heaton the back-up goalkeeper to Altay Bayindir.

MAN UNITED XI vs. Brentford: Bayindir; Fredricson, De Ligt, Shaw; Dorgu, Ugarte, Mainoo, Amass; Garnacho, Obi, Mount
