Man United injury, suspension news vs. Brentford: Joshua Zirkzee, Diogo Dalot, Ayden Heaven updates

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Brentford.

Manchester United will resume their Premier League campaign with a clash against Brentford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils will enter the match off the back of a 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final, which has left the 20-time English champions in a commanding position in the tie.

Man United have struggled domestically this season, though, with a total of 39 points leaving them in 14th position in the Premier League table, only three points ahead of 17th-placed West Ham United.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Brentford, who will enter the contest off the back of an impressive 2-0 success over Nottingham Forest.

Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: Unknown

Man United defender Dalot is facing a period on the sidelines with a calf problem, and Amorim admitted last week that the Portugal international could miss the remainder of the campaign.

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez suffered a severe knee injury during Man United's Premier League match against Crystal Palace on February 2, and the Argentina international is expected to be on the sidelines for the remainder of 2025.

Ayden Heaven

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Brentford)

The ankle injury that Heaven suffered against Leicester City before the international break was not as serious as first feared, and the centre-back was back on the bench against Newcastle United on April 13, but he has now missed the team's last three matches, and the ex-Arsenal youngster remains a major doubt for this game.

Joshua Zirkzee

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Man United will be missing Zirkzee for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign, with the Netherlands international picking up a hamstring injury during the team's loss to Newcastle in the Premier League on April 13.

Toby Collyer

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: May 4 (vs. Brentford)

Collyer was again absent against Athletic on Thursday night due to a muscular problem, and it is highly likely that he will also be unavailable for selection for the clash with Brentford.
