Arsenal injury, suspension list and return dates for Liverpool clash: Kai Havertz, Gabriel latest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League showdown with Liverpool.

Now only fighting for a top-five Premier League finish, a heartbroken Arsenal resume Premier League duties away to champions Liverpool in Sunday's top-of-the-table showdown.

Mikel Arteta's men will be going trophyless again in 2024-25 owing to their 3-1 aggregate loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-finals, where a battling second-leg performance on Wednesday was for nought in a 2-1 defeat.

The Gunners have now lost three on the bounce in all competitions after last weekend's 2-1 Premier League reverse at the hands of Bournemouth, a result that still leaves them at slight risk of dropping out of the Champions League places in the Premier League table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Reds, who have not lost to the Gunners at home in the Premier League since 2012.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Both Jorginho and Riccardo Calafiori returned from their injuries at the Parc des Princes, where Gabriel Jesus was also seen on the sidelines as he recuperates from an ACL rupture, one that may keep him out until 2026.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Fellow Brazilian Gabriel Magalhaes is targeting a return from his serious hamstring injury in pre-season, but the defender's 2024-25 campaign is already over.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Takehiro Tomiyasu has made just one substitute appearance in 2024-25 due to a pair of severe knee problems, and he is now on the long road to recovery from an operation on his latest issue.

Kai Havertz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: May 18 (vs. Newcastle United)

While Jesus, Gabriel and Tomiyasu are all out for the season, Kai Havertz has made excellent progress in his rehabilitation from a hamstring tear, and there is a slim possibility that he will make the squad for either of the last two games of the season.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this game.
