Head-to-head record

Previous meetings: 129
Leicester wins: 32
Draws: 29
Man City wins: 68

A fixture first fought in the days of Division Two in 1895 - when Leicester City were suffixed with Fosse - the Foxes have now collided with Manchester City on 129 occasions but have come out on the wrong end of the scoreline more often than not.

Indeed, the Citizens have come up trumps 68 times in this fixture, including each of their last six in a row, doing the double over Leicester City in the 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2024-25 Premier League campaigns.

One of those earlier victories came in a nine-goal Etihad extravaganza in December 2021, where Raheem Sterling bagged a brace in an astonishing 6-3 win for Pep Guardiola's side, who very nearly blew a 4-0 advantage.

A few months beforehand, Leicester marched to their 32nd and most recent victory over the reigning Premier League champions, sinking the Citizens 1-0 in the Community Shield thanks to a Kelechi Iheanacho penalty to follow up their FA Cup success over Chelsea.

Leicester have to travel back to the behind-closed-doors days of 2020 for their most recent Premier League win over Man City, but it was a particularly momentous one, as they obliterated Guardiola's team 5-2 at their Etihad base.

Up until Man City's 4-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in November 2024, that seven-goal spectacular was the Citizens' joint-heaviest Premier League home loss of the Guardiola era, but the champions have won each of their last five away games against Leicester without conceding.

Only 29 draws have ever been contested between Man City and Leicester, and none since a goalless stalemate in December 2015; there has been a winner and a loser in their last 20 meetings across all competitions.

Always one to thrive against members of the 'Big Six', evergreen Leicester striker Jamie Vardy leads the individual goalscoring column in this fixture with nine efforts, one more than ex-Foxes striker Jimmy Walsh.
