Brentford head coach Thomas Frank delivered a mixed injury update ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Bees will be looking to enjoy more success in a London derby after getting the better of Crystal Palace in last Sunday's Premier League clash.

Bryan Mbeumo and Kevin Schade grabbed a goal apiece to fire Brentford to a 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park, securing them back-to-back away league victories in the same season for the first time since November/December 2022.

After enjoying success on the road, the Bees will now return to the Gtech Community Stadium, where they are winless in four top-flight games after dropping just two points in their opening eight home league matches.

Frank delivers injury update ahead of Spurs clash

Frank has revealed that three of his injury concerns will be fit to play a role in Sunday's meeting with Ange Postecoglou's side.

Christian Norgaard and Schade are available for selection after shaking off the issues that forced them off in the recent win over Palace.

The Brentford boss also confirmed that Ethan Pinnock is set to return to the squad, having recovered from a hamstring problem which has kept him out of action since mid-December.

Unfortunately for Brentford, they will be unable to call upon the services of Rico Henry, who only returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines in the FA Cup defeat to Plymouth Argyle on January 11.

Henry missed the away clash against Palace with a hamstring issue, and Frank has now confirmed that the defender will be out for "weeks" due to the injury setback.

"It's a hamstring injury," Frank told reporters in his pre-match press conference. "Not a big one - he's out running again. He will not be involved at the weekend. We are looking at weeks."

Kayode in line for Brentford debut

In addition to Henry, Brentford are without Josh Dasilva and Igor Thiago due to knee injuries, while Gustavo Nunes is currently sidelined with a back issue.

Scotland international Aaron Hickey remains unavailable for selection, although the full-back is said to be making progress in his injury recovery.

Meanwhile, January addition Michael Kayode is in line to make his Brentford debut after failing to get international clearance in time for matchday 23.

Commenting on his new full-back, Frank said: "He is a young man, full of optimism and power and willingness to play and run. I like his approach a lot."

The Fiorentina loanee is in line to take the place of Mads Roerslev, who recently completed a loan move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
