Manchester United have reportedly identified Aaron Ramsdale as a potential replacement for Andre Onana.
The 29-year-old has come under fire for his inconsistent performances, including a forgettable outing in Thursday's Europa League quarter-final first leg against Lyon.
Onana made two costly errors in the 2-2 draw in France, before he was left out of the squad for Sunday's 4-1 Premier League defeat against Newcastle United.
The Cameroon international could return for Thursday's second leg against Lyon, but it seems unlikely that he will be Ruben Amorim's number one for next season.
Man United have already been linked with a number of replacements, while Onana could be offered a route out of Old Trafford by clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Man United among Ramsdale's suitors
According to The Sun, Man United are considering Ramsdale as a potential replacement for Onana ahead of the summer transfer window.
The report claims the Red Devils are among the clubs that are keeping a close eye on Ramsdale's recent performances for relegated Southampton.
Man United believe that Ramsdale is a strong option due to his wealth of Premier League experience with 177 top-flight appearances to his name during spells at Arsenal, Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Southampton.
West Ham United are also said to be keen on the Southampton goalkeeper following recent speculation that he is considered a top target by Graham Potter.
Ramsdale is also attracting interest from overseas, although he is keen to stay in the Premier League to boost his chances of making Thomas Tuchel's England squad for next year's World Cup.

Ramsdale set to leave Southampton
Ramsdale is widely expected to leave St Mary's just a year after he joined Southampton in a £20m move from Arsenal.
The England international is under contract until the summer of 2028, with an option to extend by a further 12 months.
However, there is a belief that his deal contains a relegation clause, which should facilitate his exit at the end of the season after Southampton's relegation was confirmed earlier this month.
Ramsdale still seems highly regarded in the Premier League despite being part of a Southampton that have conceded 77 goals in 32 league matches this season.
