Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Marseille vs. Brest

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Marseille vs. Brest.

Angers vs. Lille (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Looking to boost their chances of avoiding the dreaded drop, Angers will battle for three points on Sunday afternoon, when Lille visit Stade Raymond Kopa in Ligue 1.

Le SCO suffered a narrow defeat at the base of Nice last time out, whilst Les Dogues managed a comfortable 3-1 success on home soil versus a mid-table dweller.

We say: Angers 0-2 Lille

Despite their success at Stade Raymond Kopa versus Montpellier recently, hosts Angers are still the massive underdogs as Les Dogues visit this weekend.

Lille are beginning to hit their stride at a crucial stage of the campaign and should be more than good enough to earn three points at the expense of Le SCO.

Nantes vs. Toulouse (Sunday, 4.15pm)

Both looking to ease lingering concerns of a potential relegation dogfight, Nantes and Toulouse will clash at Stade de la Beaujoire for precious Ligue 1 points on Sunday afternoon.

Les Canaris managed a respectable result against the French champions last time out, whilst Les Violets' awful losing run continued at the base of Reims.

We say: Nantes 2-1 Toulouse

After snatching a point off runaway leaders PSG earlier in the week, Nantes will fancy their chances against a Lille side who are bang out of form.

Les Violets are sleepwalking into a relegation battle during the final stages of this campaign, and we cannot envisage Martinez's men waking up from a nightmare end to the season at Stade de la Beaujoire.

Montpellier vs. Reims (Sunday, 4.15pm)

Reims travel to Montpellier HSC this weekend looking to edge closer to safety in the Ligue 1 table.

The visitors are currently 13th in the standings, five points clear of the relegation places in the league, while the hosts would be relegated with anything less than a victory this weekend.

We say: Montpellier HSC 0-2 Reims

Reims appear to have saved their season with their recent good form, and a win this weekend would see them edge closer to securing their Ligue 1 survival.

Their attack will certainly have chances against Montpellier's defence, and we expect Reims to secure a comfortable win here.

Lens vs. Auxerre (Sunday, 4.15pm)

In a pivotal match for their Ligue 1 European hopes, an inconsistent Lens are set to host Auxerre at Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Sunday.

Les Sang et Or will be looking to build on their win last time out, while AJA will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat this weekend.

We say: Lens 2-1 Auxerre

Lens have been inconsistent since ending their losing streak last month, but they will be motivated to take all three points this weekend after a strong performance against Brest.

That being said, Auxerre have been resilient on the road, and they should make this clash a close-fought contest.

Marseille vs. Brest (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Marseille host Brest in Ligue 1 this weekend with both sides still aiming to qualify for Europe next season.

With four games remaining, the hosts are in second place, good enough for a spot in next season's Champions League, while Brest are ninth, seven points adrift of a Conference League spot.

We say: Marseille 1-0 Brest

Marseille have been unpredictable in recent weeks which makes this a tough game to call.

The hosts comfortably saw off Brest in the reverse fixture, and while we expect it to be a much closer match this time, the outcome should remain the same.
