Manchester United have reportedly been informed that they will have to come up with an offer in the region of £67m in order to sign RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons during this summer's transfer window.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for Leipzig during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 10 goals and registering six assists in 29 appearances in all competitions, including nine goals and five assists in 21 Bundesliga matches.
There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the Dutchman's future, with Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Man United said to be among the clubs keen on his signature during the summer market.
According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Leipzig would want in the region of £67m to allow the Netherlands international to depart this summer, but no bid has been submitted at this stage of proceedings.
Simons joined Leipzig on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window, with the switch said to be worth an initial £42m, although that could rise to £67m once add-ons have been taken into account.

Will Man United move for Simons this summer?
Man United's alleged interest in Simons is not surprising considering that the Red Devils want to boost their attack this summer, and Simons is ideal for one of the number 10 spots at Old Trafford.
At £67m, Simons would be somewhat of a risk, but considering his age, quality and potential to get even better, it would certainly not be a surprise to see Man United make a move for him.
Antony, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are all set to move on this summer, while Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund may also depart, so there could be three new attackers arriving at Old Trafford in the upcoming market.
Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matheus Cunha, Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, Ipswich Town's Liam Delap and Napoli's Victor Osimhen are also believed to be on the club's radar ahead of the summer window.
