Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick allegedly makes it clear that he does not want Manchester United-linked Fermin Lopez to be sold this summer.

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has reportedly made it clear that he does not want Fermin Lopez to be sold this summer.

The 21-year-old has featured on 34 occasions for Barcelona during the 2024-25 campaign, and he has impressive numbers for the Catalan team, scoring five goals and registering eight assists in the process.

There has recently been speculation surrounding Fermin's future, and it is believed that Manchester United are huge admirers of the Spaniard, who has the potential to operate as one of the number 10s in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 system at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are said to have approached Barcelona during the January market to register their interest in the midfielder, with a verbal offer of €70m (£61m) believed to have been made.

However, the Catalan side, who are chasing a treble in the latter stages of the season, were not willing to let him leave in the middle of the campaign.

Barcelona boss Flick 'unwilling to let Fermin leave' this summer

There remains huge speculation surrounding Fermin's future, as he is not a guaranteed starter for Barcelona, and with the Catalan team needing to make a big sale this summer, his name continues to be mentioned.

However, according to Fichajes, Barcelona boss Flick has made it clear that he does not want the Spaniard to leave the club under any circumstances this summer due to his importance to the side.

Fermin is allegedly 'one of the most valued players' at the Catalan club due to his 'dedication, technical ability and energy'.

As well as Man United, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa are believed to be huge admirers of the attacker, who has scored 16 times and registered nine assists in 76 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions since stepping into the first-team picture.

Which players could leave Barcelona this summer?

Wojciech Szczesny has still not signed a new contract at Barcelona, with his deal due to expire at the end of the season, but the expectation is that the 34-year-old will pen a one-year extension at Camp Nou in the not too future.

There will be exits this summer, with Andreas Christensen and Eric Garcia both likely to depart, while Hector Fort could also move on if the Catalan side are able to bring in a new right-back.

Further forward, Pablo Torre and Ansu Fati are both available, while Frenkie de Jong continues to be linked with a big-money departure despite being able to find his best form for the team once again in recent months.
