Chelsea and Legia Warsaw announce their first XIs for the second leg of their Conference League quarter-final at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea and Legia Warsaw have announced their first XIs for Thursday's Conference League game at Stamford Bridge.

Holding a 3-0 advantage from last week's first leg in Poland, Enzo Maresca would have given consideration to making sweeping alterations for the reverse game as his team bid to reach the semi-finals.

Instead, a strong starting lineup has been named with Nicolas Jackson seemingly being deployed in a wide area and Christopher Nkunku being used down the centre of the attack.

Furthermore, Cole Palmer starts in the number 10 role, while Marc Cucurella features at left-back instead of Malo Gusto, who would have been tipped to play instead.

Josh Acheampong is provided with another start having received high praise from Maresca for his performance in Warsaw last week.

Tyrique George is unfortunate to only be selected on a substitutes' bench that also contains five other academy players.

Pekhart handed Legia Warsaw start

Meanwhile, Goncalo Feio has handed a start to veteran forward Tomas Pekhart as Legia Warsaw bid to pull off one of the biggest European surprises in recent memory.

The 35-year-old is no stranger to English football having spent time in the Tottenham Hotspur academy setup and represented Southampton in the Championship at the start of his career.

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ruben Vinagre also lines up for the Polish giants.

Chelsea XI: Jorgensen; Acheampong Adarabioyo, Badiashile, Cucurella; Dewsbury-Hall, James; Jackson, Palmer, Sancho; Nkunku

Subs: Sanchez, Bergstrom, Neto, Madueke, Gusto, George, Amougou, Rak-Sakyi, Antwi, Emenalo, Mheuka, Walsh

Legia Warsaw XI: Kovacevic; Vinagre, Kapuadi, Ziólkowski, Pankov, Goncalves, Elitim, Oyedele, Luquinhas, Pekhart, Morishita

Subs: Tobiasz, Mendes, Augustyniak, Chodyna, Bichakhchyan, Kun, Mozie, Olewinski, Jedrzejczyk, Szczepaniak
