Bournemouth are reportedly interested in signing Rennes duo Kyogo Furuhashi and Adrien Truffert.
Furuhashi scored 85 goals in 165 appearances for Celtic, before he completed a €12m (£10m) move to Rennes in the January transfer window.
Jorge Sampaoli was said to be a key driving force behind the move to sign Furuhashi, only to be dismissed just a few days after the forward's arrival in France.
Furuhashi struggled to establish himself under Sampaoli's successor Habib Beye, restricting him to just six appearances in the second half of the season.
In fact, the Japan international failed to play a role in any of Rennes' final five matches of the 2024-25 Ligue 1 campaign.

Bournemouth eyeing Furuhashi move
As a result of his lack of game time, Furuhashi is set to leave the French club, just six months after leaving Scottish champions Celtic.
According to Le Parisien, Bournemouth could offer the 30-year-old a way out of Rennes in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that the Cherries are looking to gather more information about the details of a potential transfer.
Andoni Iraola could have money to spend in the transfer market following Dean Huijsen's £50m move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Cherries targeting Furuhashi teammate
The Cherries are also said to be monitoring the situation of Furuhashi's Rennes teammate, Truffert, who faces an uncertain future at Roazhon Park.
Truffert has made 191 first-team appearances in all competitons since emerging through the youth ranks at the Ligue 1 side.
The Rennes captain, who can play as a left-back or wing-back, played a prominent role in the 2024-25 campaign, starting 31 of his 33 top-flight appearances.
However, Rennes are facing the prospect of selling Truffert following an underwhelming 12th-placed finish in Ligue 1.
Truffert is out of contract in the summer of 2026, meaning that the upcoming transfer window represents one final chance to command a considerable fee.
