Sochaux earn home point against Bastia

Emmanuel Mayuka's second-half strike sees Sochaux come back to earn a point at home to Bastia.

Sochaux have held Bastia to a 1-1 draw at Stade Auguste Bonal to deny them the chance to go sixth in Ligue 1.

Ryad Boudebouz gave the visitors the lead just after the half-hour mark, although goalkeeper Mickael Landreau had to be alert to keep out Rafael Dias just before the break.

Les Lionceaux's equaliser came in the 74th minute through Emmanuel Mayuka, who latched onto Petrus Boumal's cross to shoot left footed past the veteran keeper.

A point means that the hosts remain bottom, but are now level on points with Ajaccio. Meanwhile, the Corsican team stay ninth.
