Hansi Flick guided Barcelona to three trophies during a sensational first season in charge of the Catalan outfit, and it was announced last week that the German has now extended his contract with the club until June 2027.
Barcelona faced huge disappointment during the 2023-24 campaign, with the team having to watch bitter rivals Real Madrid lift a Champions League and La Liga double, but Blaugrana have bounced back this term, enjoying a stunning season.
Here, Sports Mole takes a look back at a memorable season for the La Liga giants, who were also triumphant in the Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.

Final league position: 1st
Copa del Rey: Winners
Spanish Super Cup: Winners
Champions League: Semi-finals
Top scorer: Robert Lewandowski (42)
Most assists: Lamine Yamal, Raphinha (25)
There were certainly question marks surrounding the appointment of Flick as head coach, with the German replacing the legendary Xavi at the helm, but it has been a wonderful campaign for the experienced manager.
Barcelona won each of their first seven La Liga matches of the season and 11 of their first 12, with the Catalan outfit quick out of the blocks, but a disappointing period towards the end of 2024 threatened to derail their title hopes.
Flick's side got back on track at the start of 2025, though, winning nine league games in a row, while their 3-2 loss at home to Villarreal on May 18 proved to be their first league defeat since December 21.
Barcelona have been sensational in La Liga this season and fully deserved to lift the title, while they needed to beat the likes of Real Sociedad, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in order to claim the Copa del Rey trophy.
The Spanish Super Cup was secured courtesy of successes over Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid, but Barcelona fell just short in the Champions League, losing 7-6 on aggregate to Inter Milan in the semi-finals of the competition.
Barcelona were moments away from making the final, only for Inter to level it at 3-3 in the second leg before winning the tie in extra time, and their Champions League exit will certainly be remembered as the low point of their season.

HOW DID IT COMPARE TO LAST SEASON?

Barcelona finished second in La Liga last season, 10 points behind the champions Real Madrid, but they actually picked up 85 points, just three fewer than they managed to claim in 2024-25.
Not only did the Catalan outfit improve in the league this term, they went from Copa del Rey quarter-finalists to winners, Spanish Super Cup runners-up to winners and Champions League quarter-finalists to semi-finalists.
There has been improvement across the board, certainly in terms of the overall performance level of the team, with Yamal, Raphinha and Lewandowski all having incredible campaigns in the final third of the field.
Lewandowski was actually Barcelona's leading goalscorer last season with 26, but the Poland international ended the 2024-25 campaign with 42 in all competitions, while Raphinha managed 34, showing the difference in terms of attacking output.
PLAYER OF THE SEASON: RAPHINHA

It is incredibly difficult to overlook Yamal in this category considering how impressive the Spain international has been, managing 18 goals and 25 assists in 55 appearances in all competitions - simply stunning numbers for a 17-year-old.
Lewandowski also deserves a special mention considering that he ended the season with 42 goals, but Raphinha's numbers have been off the scale this term, with the Brazilian enjoying a truly tremendous campaign.
The 28-year-old managed 34 goals and 25 assists in 57 appearances in all competitions, including 13 goals and nine assists in 14 Champions League appearances.
Raphinha came close to leaving Barcelona last summer, but Flick played a major role in keeping the Brazilian at the club, and he has now signed a new contract with the Catalan team until June 2028.

Barcelona were involved in one of the greatest Champions League matches of all time in the semi-finals of the competition, and they ultimately exited due to their 4-3 defeat to Inter at San Siro.
The first leg of the last-four clash was an incredible game, finishing 3-3 in Spain, and Inter then raced into a two-goal lead in front of their own supporters to make it 5-3 on aggregate.
Barcelona scored twice in the space of six second-half minutes to level it up, before Raphinha looked to have won it for Flick's team when he scored a third for the Catalan side in the 87th minute.
Inter had other ideas, though, levelling in the third minute of added time at the end of the 90, before scoring a winner in the first half of extra time, recording a 4-3 victory on the night and a 7-6 success on aggregate.
Barcelona will still be wondering quite how they managed to throw the tie away in the final exchanges of normal time.
BEST MOMENT

Barcelona's La Liga title success was confirmed courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Espanyol in the Catalan derby, and there were incredible scenes when Fermin Lopez scored a second for Flick's team in the final moments.
Yamal's effort early in the second period had made it 1-0 to Barcelona, who needed to win to secure the title, before Fermin sparked jubilant scenes on the away team's bench when he netted a second in the sixth minute of added time.
Flick had already secured the Spanish Super Cup and Copa del Rey in 2025, but guiding Barcelona to the La Liga title was a truly standout moment, and the fact that the team managed to secure the trophy at the home of their local rivals made it even sweeter.
TOP PRIORITY FOR SUMMER

Barcelona's sporting director Deco has confirmed that the Catalan outfit "like" Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, while Manchester United's Marcus Rashford is also of interest to the club, with a new winger the main priority.
Interest in Diaz and Rashford has also been confirmed by Flick, and the latter, in theory, would be easier to sign this summer, although the England international's substantial wages could scupper a deal.
Flick's side are not expected to move for a new striker this summer, with that pursuit set to be placed on hold for another 12 months due to the form of Lewandowski, and the presence of Ferran Torres, who has also impressed through the middle.
Barcelona are well-stocked in midfield, but a new right-back may be targeted due to a lack of options in that area of the field.
In truth, the Catalan outfit already have an excellent squad with a host of young players ready to step in if required, so only minor adjustments are required during this summer's transfer window.
FINAL VERDICT

Few would have predicted just how impressive Barcelona would be this season, and it has been a glorious campaign, with the only disappointment being that they were unable to lift the Champions League trophy.
Real Madrid will undoubtedly be stronger next season, with the capital giants set to return with a new head coach and a stronger squad, but it will be difficult to finish above a Barcelona team that are establishing themselves as a top European side once again.
Barcelona have a squad full of sensational footballers, but in Yamal, they have a truly world-class superstar.
Yamal is deciding the biggest of matches at the age of 17, and it is scary to think what he could achieve next season with even more experience under his belt, with Barcelona set to be challengers for the biggest trophies at home and abroad once again in 2025-26.
