Manchester United have confirmed the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, as the Brazilian becomes their first signing of the summer.
The Red Devils moved quickly to trigger the £62.5m release clause in Cunha's Molineux contract, and the attacker suggested last week that he had played last game in a Wolves kit.
Man United have not confirmed the length of Cunha's deal, but the South American is believed to have penned a five-year agreement with an option until the end of the 2030-31 campaign.
"Manchester United has reached agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signing of Matheus Cunha," a club statement read. "The Brazilian forward's signing is subject to visa and registration. Everyone at Manchester United looks forward to welcoming Matheus to Old Trafford."
Wolves also paid tribute to Cunha's achievements as the ex-Atletico Madrid man became the Old Gold's most expensive sale of all time, saying: "Matheus Cunha has completed a permanent move to Manchester United for a club record fee following two-and-a-half years at Molineux.
"Everyone at Wolves would like to thank Matheus for his contributions in old gold and wish he and his family the best of luck for the future."

Cunha is currently in holiday mode, but Red Devils fans need only wait a matter of weeks before they catch a glimpse of the former Wolves man in a Man United kit for the first time.
Presuming no issues crop up for the 26-year-old in pre-season, he could make his unofficial debut against fierce rivals Leeds United on July 19, as the two adversaries square off in Sweden.
Cunha will then travel to the United States for Man United's pre-season tour, where the Red Devils will take on West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton in the Premier League Summer Series.
Just before the start of the Premier League season, the Brazilian will play on the Old Trafford turf for the first time as a Man United player, when Ruben Amorim's men host Serie A giants Fiorentina on August 9.
Cunha departs Wolves after conjuring up 33 goals and 15 assists in 92 matches for the club in all competitions, including 17 strikes and six helpers from 36 appearances in the 2024-25 campaign.

Cunha leaving Molineux means that Wolves' number 10 shirt is now vacant, and the 26-year-old is expected to inherit the same jersey at Man United, stealing it from Marcus Rashford.
Rashford's future remains in limbo following the end of his Aston Villa loan, but the England international is nevertheless expected to leave permanently for another club, be it Villa, Barcelona or another suitor.
Cunha would not only be emulating Rashford by sporting the '10' for United, but also a number of all-time greats, including but not limited to Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best, Wayne Rooney and David Beckham.
Man United are expected to move for another attacking midfielder after Cunha's arrival, and a £29.5m Brighton & Hove Albion starlet is supposedly the latest name to catch their eye.
