Today's key events
Chelsea 'open to offers for Kepa amid Bayern interest'

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to allow Kepa Arrizabalaga to leave the club this summer, amid interest from Bayern Munich for the goalkeeper.
The 28-year-old is still the world's most expensive keeper after moving from Athletic Bilbao to Stamford Bridge for £72m in the summer of 2018.
Kepa regained his place as first-choice stopper in West London during the 2022-23 term, starting 29 Premier League matches for the Blues as they finished 12th in the final standings.
Over a five-year period, the Spaniard has made 163 appearances for the club, and was part of the side who won the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel in 2021.
Man United 'to step up Amrabat pursuit after Fred agreement'
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to step up their pursuit of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, with Fred on the verge of joining Fenerbahce.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a successful season on the international stage in 2022-23, helping Morocco reach the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar before losing to France.
Amrabat also guided his club side to the final of the Europa Conference League in Prague, however the Serie A outfit were unable to lift the European trophy after losing to West Ham United in the showpiece match.
The former Hellas Verona man played 29 matches for Fiorentina in Serie A last term - starting 24 of those - and his performances may have been enough to secure an attractive move to the Premier League.

Nice boss Farioli provides update on Man United-linked Todibo

Newly-appointed Nice head coach Francesco Farioli has admitted that Jean-Clair Todibo could leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window.
The centre-back's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Manchester United believed to view the Frenchman as the ideal replacement for Harry Maguire.
The Red Devils have allegedly agreed a £30m deal with West Ham United to sell Maguire, with the defender's time at Old Trafford set to come to an end.
Todibo has another four years left to run on his contract, and Farioli has expressed a desire to keep hold of the 23-year-old, along with midfielder Khephren Thuram, who has been linked with Liverpool.
Man United's Fred 'closing in on move to Fenerbahce'
Manchester United midfielder Fred is reportedly closing in on a switch to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the Brazil international's future during this summer's transfer window, having been made surplus to requirements by Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag.
Fred did not travel with the Man United squad on their pre-season tour of the United States, and he was also left out of the friendlies against Lens and Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
At one stage, Galatasaray were thought to be the favourites for the midfielder, but it is understood that Fenerbahce have now secured a deal for the 30-year-old.
Bournemouth confirm Max Aarons signing
Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of right-back Max Aarons from Norwich City on a long-term contract.
The England Under-21 international has joined the Cherries for an initial £9m, which could reportedly rise to as much as £12m with performance-related add-ons.
Aarons arrives at the Vitality Stadium not long after he was expected to join Leeds United, who had apparently had a bid accepted by Norwich and had scheduled a medical for the right-back.
However, a last-minute Bournemouth approach led to a successful hijack, and Aarons has opted to return to the Premier League with Andoni Iraola's side for the 2023-24 campaign.
Leeds sign Tottenham's Joe Rodon on season-long loan
Leeds United have announced the signing of Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon on a season-long loan deal.
The 25-year-old returns to the Championship three years after joining Spurs from Swansea City in the summer of 2020, but he has failed to kick on since arriving in North London.
Rodon has made just 24 appearances for Spurs over the past three seasons, starting a mere eight Premier League games and failing to register a goal or assist in that time.
The Wales international fared slightly better during a loan spell with French side Rennes, scoring one goal in 22 appearances and starting 16 Ligue 1 matches for Les Rouges et Noir.
Heaton injury 'could lead to Henderson staying at Man United'
Dean Henderson's chances of leaving Manchester United for Nottingham Forest before the end of the summer transfer window have reportedly been impacted by news of Tom Heaton's injury blow.
Heaton was set to start the 2023-24 campaign as the club's number two goalkeeper behind Andre Onana, who made the move to Old Trafford from Inter Milan last month.
However, Man United revealed on Thursday evening that the 37-year-old has suffered an injury, believed to be related to his calf, which will keep him out of "the first few weeks of the season".
"Tom Heaton is out of Manchester United's Premier League season opener against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Monday," read a statement on the club's official website.

Barcelona 'eyeing return for unsettled PSG attacker Neymar'

Barcelona are reportedly considering making an attempt to re-sign Neymar this summer, with the attacker being told that he is free to leave Paris Saint-Germain during the current market.
The 31-year-old's father recently played down suggestions that the Brazil international had told the French champions that he wants to seek pastures new before the window closes.
However, it is believed that PSG are keen to move him on this summer, with new head coach Luis Enrique looking to take the team in a different direction.
There is thought to be Saudi Arabian and MLS interest in Neymar, who could miss his side's Ligue 1 opener against Lorient on Saturday amid the speculation surrounding his future.

The highly rated @Everton defender joins us on a season-long loan👊#WeAreFGR💚 — Forest Green Rovers (@FGRFC_Official) August 10, 2023
"It's great to be here. I wanted to get out on loan and get some experience. This is the next step I needed, and I can't wait to show what I can do at Forest Green," he told the club website.
Manager David Horseman added: "This is one we're really excited about. A big thank you to Everton for making it sure got done.
"Reece is a really physical centre-back with good mobility. He's a lovely footballer. He arrives with good pedigree, and he's highly rated at Everton. He will help us a lot this season."
Man United 'paying Harry Maguire £6m to leave this summer'
Manchester United have reportedly agreed to pay Harry Maguire £6m to leave the club, with the centre-back on the verge of making the move to West Ham United.
The Hammers are believed to have come to an agreement with Man United over a £30m deal for the 30-year-old, with only the smaller details needing to be finalised before a deal is confirmed.
According to The Sun, Maguire will drop his wages from £190,000 a week to £120,000 a week when he officially joins West Ham, but the defender has received a £6m pay-off from the Red Devils.
The report claims that the England international knew that his time at the club had finished when he had the captain's armband taken away from him and handed to Bruno Fernandes.

Mbappe 'tells PSG he will not leave this summer'
Kylian Mbappe has reportedly made it clear to Paris Saint-Germain that he will not be leaving the club under any circumstances during this summer's transfer window.
The France international has refused to sign a new deal in Paris, with his current terms due to expire next June.
PSG allegedly believe that their star player has already come to an agreement with Real Madrid over a move to Bernabeu on a free transfer next summer and therefore the French champions are desperate to sell him in a big-money deal before the end of the market.
Mbappe has reportedly turned down a switch to Saudi Arabia this summer, while he is also highly unlikely to move to the Premier League despite claims of loan interest from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.

Bournemouth sign Alex Scott from Bristol City

Bournemouth have announced the signing of Alex Scott from Bristol City.
The 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a "long-term deal" at the Vitality Stadium, joining for an undisclosed fee thought to be worth around £25m - a club-record sale for Bristol City.
Scott arrives having been named the Championship Young Player of the Season last term, with his performances also earning him a spot in the Championship Team of the Season.
Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United were among the clubs that had been linked with a move for the highly-rated midfielder, but Bournemouth have now won the race for his signature.
Kepa, De Gea 'emerge as goalkeeper targets for Real Madrid'
Real Madrid are reportedly considering moves for Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga and free agent David de Gea after being hit with the news that Thibaut Courtois is likely to miss the entire 2023-24 campaign.
Courtois suffered a knee injury during a training session on Thursday, and it was later confirmed that the Belgian had ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, which will require an operation.
The 31-year-old is now set to miss the whole of the new season, leaving Andriy Lunin as the only senior first-team goalkeeper, so Los Blancos will enter the market for a new stopper.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Kepa has emerged as a potential target, with the Spain international expected to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.
Guardiola responds to Paqueta, Palmer, Walker speculation
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has refused to comment on speculation linking the Citizens with West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
Recent reports have claimed that the treble winners have stepped up their interest in the 25-year-old and have seen a verbal offer between £60m and £70m turned down by the Hammers.
Paqueta joined West Ham from Lyon for a club-record £51m last summer and David Moyes's side have no intention of selling the Brazil international, who still has four years remaining on his contract.
However, Paqueta, who has been handed the No.10 shirt by West Ham ahead of the new season, is understood to have had his head turned after learning of interest from Man City and he would be open to leaving the London Stadium if they table a formal offer.
Franck Kessie leaves Barcelona for Saudi Arabia side Al-Ahli

Barcelona have confirmed that midfielder Franck Kessie has made the move to Al-Ahli.
The Ivory Coast international is believed to have turned down a host of clubs, including ones from the Premier League, to join Barcelona on a free transfer last summer following the expiration of his deal at AC Milan.
Kessie featured on 43 occasions for Xavi's side during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring three goals and registering three assists in the process, but he found it difficult to secure regular starts.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding the 26-year-old's future this summer, with a return to Italy thought to be a possibility, while there has also been suggestions of English interest.

Salah, De Bruyne 'wanted by Saudi clubs next summer'
Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly weighing up moves for Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne in the summer of 2024.
The current summer transfer window has been hugely dominated by teams in the Saudi Pro League recruiting a plethora of high-profile names from the big leagues in Europe.
Around £400m has already been spent by Saudi clubs on new players, with a significant chunk of that forked out by quartet Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr who are all controlled by the nation's Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Liverpool trio Jordan Henderson, Roberto Firmino and Fabinho are among several notable names to swap the Premier League for the Middle East, with the former joining Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq, while Riyad Mahrez, N'Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves and Allan Saint-Maximin have also decided to seek pastures new.
Transfer rumours: Neymar to MLS, Gonzalez to Brentford, Gnonto future
MLS clubs reportedly have a serious interest in signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Despite already losing Lionel Messi to Inter Miami while trying to force Kylian Mbappe out of the exit door, PSG have now been tipped to part ways with Neymar too.
The former Barcelona man has allegedly informed the powers-that-be that he wants out, and the club and his agents are now working to find an amicable solution.
A return to Camp Nou has been mooted for some time, but according to Fabrizio Romano, teams in North America are hoping to lure him across the Atlantic this summer.
Fenerbahce 'submit £12.9m bid for Man United's Fred'
Manchester United have reportedly received a €15m (£12.9m) offer from Fenerbahce for midfielder Fred.
The 30-year-old has spent the last five years at Old Trafford since joining from Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee rising to around £60m, scoring 14 goals and providing 19 assists in 213 appearances across all competitions.
Only Bruno Fernandes (59) and David de Gea (58) made more first-team appearances for the Red Devils than Fred (56) last season, although the Brazil international was not a regular starter under manager Erik ten Hag.
Indeed, Fred started just 12 Premier League games in 2022-23 and found himself behind the likes of Fernandes, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay in the pecking order.
Liverpool 'outbid Chelsea for Moises Caicedo'
Liverpool have reportedly tabled a bid for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo which exceeds the latest offer made by Chelsea.
The West Londoners have been leading the race to sign Caicedo throughout the summer and have seen several bids for the 21-year-old turned down by Brighton, including their most recent offer believed to be worth £80m.
Brighton are thought to be holding out for at least £100m for the Ecuador international, who has made it clear that he wants to leave the Seagulls this summer.
Chelsea are said to be keen to strike a deal with Brighton for Caicedo before the end of the week, but they now face stern competition from Liverpool as The Telegraph reports that the Reds have made a late attempt to hijack the Blues' pursuit of the midfielder.
Tottenham 'monitoring Eberechi Eze situation'
Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on the situation of Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze, according to a report.
The 25-year-old has gone from strength to strength since joining the Eagles from Queens Park Rangers in 2020, commanding a £15.4m fee to leave the Championship club.
Eze has since registered 15 goals and 11 assists in 93 games for Palace, although his development was hampered by an Achilles problem in the 2021-22 season.
However, Eze shone for the Eagles last term with 10 goals and four assists from 38 Premier League games as Roy Hodgson's side quashed any talk of a relegation dogfight with an 11th-placed finish.

Thiago Alcantara 'not in talks with Al Ahli'

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara is reportedly not in discussions over a move to Saudi Arabian giants Al Ahli.
The Spain international is now in the final year of his contract with the Anfield giants and has been tipped to leave this summer as part of their midfield overhaul.
Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have already made lucrative moves to the Saudi Pro League this summer, while Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Leighton Clarkson have also departed for pastures new.
With Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister arriving to compete with Stefan Bajcetic, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott for midfield starts, minutes may be even harder for Thiago to come by next term.
Chelsea 'trigger £20m Tyler Adams release clause'

Chelsea have triggered the £20m release clause in the contract of Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams, according to a report.
The USA international only touched down at Elland Road last summer but was unable to prevent the Whites from sliding back down into the Championship for the 2023-24 season.
As a result, Adams has been expected to depart Leeds after just one season at the club, following a mass exodus of players out of the Elland Road exit door in the summer window.
While Adams remains under contract with Daniel Farke's side for another four years, his terms reportedly include a clause allowing him to depart for a mere £20m following the Whites' relegation.

"I know players who have been here before, such as Lewis Fiorini and Brooke Norton-Cuffy, and they've spoken very highly of the club as well as the supporters - how much noise they can create and how they get behind you. It feels like a good place for me to come, show people what I can do and move forward in my career."
Lincoln's director of football Jez George added: "We have concentrated so far this summer on securing permanent signings but, unless something unexpected happens, we will now be concentrating on the loan market to complete the squad.
"Jack is a fantastic addition for us, with the physicality and athleticism we are looking for in this position, ready to play in League One and crucial in our squad build by being able to provide competition in both wing-back positions."

"Wes was a player who our scouting team had identified before the end of last season, so he's been on our radar for a number of months. He had a number of options over the summer but has decided that Maryhill will be his home for the next season, at least, and I'm so pleased about that," said Thistle boss Kris Doolan.
"He can play on the wing or off the striker and offers a real directness that I think you need in the Championship. He's not afraid to go and take on his man or try a shot and we want players who'll go and make things happen in the final third for us."

"There was interest from other clubs, but once I had spoken to Marijn Beuker and Robin Veldman about the project and philosophy at Queen's Park, I felt it would be a first-class opportunity for me to continue to learn and develop at a very progressive club.
"I am here to work hard and to give 110% effort to the club, staff, my colleagues on the pitch, and most importantly the fans."
West Ham United announce Edson Alvarez signing

The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year contract until June 2028 and moves to the London Stadium for an undisclosed fee, believed to be worth in the region of £35m.
Alvarez will wear the No.19 shirt for the Europa Conference League winners and has become David Moyes's first signing of the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old departs the Glaswegian giants after two seasons at Parkhead, scoring three goals in 87 appearances across all competitions.
Starfelt won five domestic honours with Celtic including last season's historic Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and League Cup treble.
The Sweden international featured regularly under former boss Ange Postecoglou last season, playing in a total of 37 games, before making his final appearance for the Hoops as a substitute in the 4-2 Premiership win over Ross County last weekend.

Luton sign Jacob Brown from Stoke City

Luton Town have confirmed the signing of Jacob Brown from Stoke City for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old joined Stoke in 2020 and went on to score 30 goals in 141 appearances for the club across all competitions, including a career-best 13 in 45 Championship outings in 2021-22 as he won the Potters' Player of the Season award.
Brown netted nine times in 42 games last season, and was on the scoresheet on the opening weekend of the 2023-24 Championship campaign too, scoring a late goal in Stoke's 4-1 win over Rotherham United.
The Scotland international striker becomes Luton's ninth signing of the summer as they gear up for their first-ever campaign in the Premier League.
West Ham, Monaco 'emerge as main contenders for Balogun'
West Ham United have reportedly emerged as the latest club to enter the race for Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun.
The Hammers are on the hunt for a new centre-forward this summer following the £25m sale of Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta BC last week.
Balogun is expected to depart Arsenal this summer as the 22-year-old finds himself behind Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Kai Havertz in the pecking order under manager Mikel Arteta.
The USA international excelled during a loan spell with Reims last season, scoring 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 appearances – the joint-fourth most in the French top-flight.

James Ward-Prowse 'to undergo West Ham medical today'

James Ward-Prowse will reportedly undergo his West Ham United medical on Thursday ahead of completing a permanent move to the London Stadium from Southampton.
The Europa Conference League winners are understood to have reached a full agreement with the Saints to sign the 28-year-old midfielder in a deal worth £30m.
Southampton initially turned down West Ham's £30m bid last month, but they have since accepted their latest offer with more favourable payment terms and conditions.
According to Sky Sports News, Ward-Prowse has agreed personal terms with West Ham and is scheduled to begin his medical on Thursday.
Bayern Munich 'agree deal to sign Harry Kane'
Bayern Munich have finally agreed a fee with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal for England captain Harry Kane, according to a report.
The Bundesliga champions have been pursuing a move for the 30-year-old throughout the summer window but have been repeatedly rebuffed by Daniel Levy thus far.
Bayern had already seen two bids rejected before tabling a third offer worth a reported £86m, which was also turned down by Tottenham, but Thomas Tuchel's side refused to throw in the towel.
According to The Athletic, Bayern have now had a bid accepted by Tottenham, who have given the green light for Kane to join the German giants in a deal worth more than €100m (£86.4m).
Everton in talks over Hugo Ekitike deal?

Everton have reportedly contacted Paris Saint-Germain over a potential deal for striker Hugo Ekitike.
After bursting onto the scene as one of French football's most promising prospects during the 2021-22 season, Ekitike struggled to make an impact in the capital.
After netting 11 goals in his first full season with Reims, PSG acquired the youngster, but starts were few and far between for the 21-year-old last season.
Fabrizio Romano claims that Everton are in talks over a loan deal for Ekitike with an obligation to buy next summer for €35m (£30m).
Chelsea 'keen to seal Caicedo transfer before Sunday'
Chelsea are reportedly ready to push for the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo before the end of the week.
The Blues' chase of the Ecuador international has descended into a drawn-out affair, neither party seemingly being prepared to reach a compromise.
From the perspective of Brighton, they have refused to budge on their £100m valuation of the 21-year-old, maintaining the same stance that they displayed to Arsenal in January.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi is said to have made a pact with Caicedo at that time, promising him a departure in the summer if he focused on helping Brighton achieve European football, which he did.
West Ham 'ready to request Palmer in Paqueta deal'
West Ham United may reportedly ask to receive Cole Palmer in part-exchange if Manchester City persist with a move for Lucas Paqueta.
Throughout the summer transfer window, the Hammers have been attempting to strengthen their midfield after Declan Rice was sold to Arsenal.
That has allegedly all but been achieved with Ajax's Edson Alvarez and Southampton's James Ward-Prowse said to be on the brink of moving to the London Stadium.
However, it was claimed earlier this week that City had identified Paqueta as a priority target as Pep Guardiola attempts to sign a creative central midfielder.
Chelsea 'walk away from Vlahovic, Lukaku swap deal'

Chelsea have reportedly ended their interest in potentially exchanging Romelu Lukaku with Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.
Throughout the summer transfer window, it has been common knowledge that the Premier League outfit have been keen to part ways with Lukaku.
At one stage, a permanent switch back to Inter Milan appeared to be a foregone conclusion, yet the Champions League runners-up pulled out of negotiations once it allegedly became apparent that the Belgium international had spoken to rivals Juventus around the time of their European showpiece event.
That made Juventus the favourites to secure a deal for the 30-year-old, providing that they could find a buyer for Vlahovic.
Transfer rumours: Ward-Prowse to West Ham, Hazard to Vancouver, Akpom to Lens

West Ham United have reportedly reached an agreement with Southampton over a deal for midfielder James Ward-Prowse, who is seemingly set to move to the London Stadium.
The Englishman played in his side's Championship opener against Sheffield Wednesday last week, providing the assist for Che Adams to win it for the Saints late on.
However, it was always going to be tough for Southampton to keep hold of him following their relegation to the Championship at the end of last season.
According to The Athletic, West Ham have come to an agreement over a deal for the 28-year-old, who is expected to pen a four-year contract with David Moyes's side.
