Life without Jurgen Klopp may have started swimmingly for Liverpool - at least in a Premier League sense - but the Reds faithful cannot fathom life without the sensational Mohamed Salah.
Thankfully, the Kop do not have to concern themselves with such hypotheticals for at least another couple of seasons, as Salah said yes to a new two-year contract until 2027 midway through an unprecedented 2024-25 season.
While others in the Liverpool attack often flattered to deceive, Salah consistently terrorised any and every Premier League backline he came up against, helping the Reds take home English top-flight crown number 20 in a campaign of countless individual feats.

Inevitably stealing the spotlight in the highest-scoring game of the Premier League season, Salah scored twice and set up two more goals in the 6-3 beating of Tottenham Hotspur, thus becoming the first player to register 10 goals and 10 assists in one campaign before December 25.

Salah was responsible for one goal and two assists in the 5-0 away win at West Ham, which saw him set a new record for the most direct involvements in one month in the Premier League, banking a ridiculous 14 in six games in December.
The Egyptian also registered 30 goal involvements in record time, became the first man to score and assist in eight games in one PL campaign, and becoming the first Liverpool player to net 20 goals in all competitions in eight straight seasons.

Another game, another goal, another assist. Liverpool's win over Man City in February saw Salah become the first player in Premier League history to score and assist in both games against the title holders in one season.
Additionally, Salah's 16th assist was a new all-time best for Liverpool in the Premier League - overtaking Steve McManaman's 15 from 1995-96 - and he became the first man to register at least 25 Premier League goals and 15 assists in one season.

Going alongside his Premier League Player of the Season trophy, Salah became the first man to ever win all three prizes in one campaign, as well as being just the second after Harry Kane to top the goals and assist charts.

The one that he seemed certain to break until the dying embers of the season, Salah's 18 helpers means that Henry and Kevin De Bruyne can still proudly boast the most assists of any player in one Premier League season, banking 20 each in 2002-03 and 2019-20 respectively.

Remarkably, Salah's effort at the Etihad in February was his 16th and last Premier League away goal of the season, meaning he did not set an outright best in the competition, sharing the summit with Kane (16 in 2022-23) and Kevin Phillips (16 in 1999-00).

Had Salah not missed a sitter against Brighton & Hove Albion last Monday, we would be sitting here talking about the electrifying Egyptian contributing to more goals and assists than any other player in any other Premier League campaign.
However, he must share his total of 47 with Andy Cole and Shearer, although the latter two had four more games to hit their milestones during the 1990s.
