Liverpool wing wizard Mohamed Salah inevitably made more Premier League history during the Reds' final-day 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Before hoisting the trophy aloft with his teammates in front of a vibrant Merseyside crowd, Salah was once again named in the first XI for the clash between the Premier League winners and FA Cup champions.
The Egypt international's afternoon started off on the wrong foot, though, as Palace attacker Ismaila Sarr capitalised on a mistake from Conor Bradley to put Oliver Glasner's side ahead early doors.
Liverpool's chances of fighting back on the final day were further diminished when Ryan Gravenberch was dismissed for a last-man challenge, but Arne Slot's 10 men denied Palace a memorable victory thanks to their talisman.
With six minutes of normal time remaining, Darwin Nunez's cross from the right was nodded down into the middle of the box by Cody Gakpo, and Salah's deflected scissor kick nestled into the top corner in front of the Kop.

The ex-Chelsea and Roma winger's Paolo Di Canio-esque volley was his 29th goal of the campaign to go alongside his 18 assists, meaning that he ends the term with 47 direct Premier League goal involvements.
Salah has therefore equalled the all-time record for the most contributions in one top-flight season since 1992, matching the 47 involvements that Alan Shearer and Andy Cole managed in 1994-95 and 1993-94 respectively.
However, Shearer and Cole achieved their milestones in 42-game Premier League seasons, whereas Salah had already broken the 38-game record when he registered his 45th direct goal involvement of 2024-25.
Now that the Premier League campaign has ended, Salah has officially been awarded the Golden Boot and Playmaker Award prizes, in addition to being crowned the Premier League's Player of the Season.
The 32-year-old has become the first man in the history of the competition to take home all three prizes in the same season, and just the second player to register the most goals and assists in one season after Harry Kane.

Liverpool fans can enjoy at least another two years of Salah making nets ripple following his contract extension, and the same is true of Virgil van Dijk, who will also be staying until 2027 at least.
Keeping both men on the books were two crucial bits of business from Liverpool chiefs, and speaking to Sky Sports News post-match, Slot was also questioned on his side's summer transfer window.
"I don't know if it's going to be a lot but we know, the club, Richard [Hughes], the ownership, we are all aligned on what we are trying to achieve," the Dutchman replied.
"It is already very very positive that we kept Mo and Virgil and a few others that we are trying to sign look positive. We are very happy with the squad that we have. This club has always shown that if they can strengthen, that's what we do. Big summer or not, it is already big because we won the league."
Sunday also marked Trent Alexander-Arnold's last appearance in a Liverpool shirt, but the Real Madrid-bound defender received an overwhelmingly positive reception from the Anfield crowd after being booed against Arsenal.
