Liverpool lineup vs. Crystal Palace: Predicted XI for Premier League finale including Trent Alexander-Arnold decision

Will Trent start last Liverpool game? How the Reds could line up against Palace

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is facing an unenviable decision over Trent Alexander-Arnold's participation in what could be his final appearance for the Reds on Sunday against Crystal Palace.

The Reds host the Eagles in their last game of the 2024-25 Premier League season, where Alexander-Arnold will be part of a matchday squad for the final time before jetting off to Real Madrid.

However, as the England international has burned bridges with many Liverpool supporters, it would be a surprise to see him start on his Anfield farewell, and the same goes for Joe Gomez following his recovery from a hamstring injury.

As a result, Conor Bradley ought to reprise his role at right-back, potentially as part of a back four protecting Caoimhin Kelleher, who is expected to move on in search of regular first-team football this summer.

Defensive stalwarts Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson should form the rest of Kelleher's shield, but Alexis Mac Allister will not be involved as he recuperates from a groin problem.

Instead, Wataru Endo and Curtis Jones could join forces in midfield as Ryan Gravenberch is also spared, allowing Dominik Szoboszlai to feature further forward as Harvey Elliott drops out, in spite of his goal and assist against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Still needing one goal or assist to equal the Premier League record for the most goal contributions in one season, Mohamed Salah's spot in attack is not up for debate, while Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo should aid the Egyptian in his mission.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Kelleher; Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Endo, Jones; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Diaz
