Arsenal have reportedly launched a £62m bid for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The Gunners concluded their campaign in 2024-25 with a last-minute success at the base of Championship-bound Southampton on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal required a late strike from Martin Odegaard to snatch three points from a Saints side who are one of the worst in the division's history.
Mikel Arteta's men are targeting a big summer transfer window, with a number of Premier League stars and Real Madrid's Rodrygo linked to the club.
Despite progress under the regime of the Spaniard in recent years, Arsenal are yet to enjoy Premier League or Champions League glory at the Emirates.

Arsenal table £62m offer for Gyokeres?
According to Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha via The Sun, Arsenal have taken the next step in their pursuit of Sporting Lisbon star Gyokeres this summer.
The report claims that the Gunners have tabled an official offer for the 26-year-old striker, with a fee of £62m in discussions between the clubs.
It is understood that Arsenal have also sent over a contract proposal to the agent of Gyokeres ahead of his client's potential switch to the Premier League.
The North Londoners have reportedly offered the towering marksman a five-year deal with a salary of just under £6m per year at the Emirates.
There is also supposedly a £10m signing-on bonus awaiting the Swede, further incentivising a high-profile switch to Arteta's ranks in the coming months.

Which Premier League clubs need Gyokeres?
Finishing as runners-up in each of the last three Premier League seasons, Arsenal are undoubtedly in need of something extra to get them over the line in future title races.
A striker of the profile and pedigree of Gyokeres certainly fits that bill, with the 26-year-old netting 39 goals across 33 Primeira Liga appearances this term.
Ruben Amorim's Manchester United are also crying out for a forward of the Swede's quality, however a lack of European football at Old Trafford next term makes the Red Devils a less attractive option for possible signings.
