The finer details regarding the finances of Matheus Cunha's impending move to Manchester United have reportedly been agreed between the Red Devils and his parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Speculation has been rife for many months that Cunha will be moving to Old Trafford this summer, and the Brazilian is set to become Ruben Amorim's first high-profile signing at the club.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed another excellent season at Molineux, hitting 17 goals in all competitions for Wolves, following on from the 14 he managed during 2023-24.
Missing out on European football does mean Man United may have to be slightly cautious with their pursestrings this summer though, and they have been unable to lowball Wolves into accepting a more favourable arrangement for themselves.

United fail in attempts to lowball Wolves
Sami Mokbel of the BBC revealed that Wolves would not budge unless Cunha's £62.5m release clause was met, and paid in three instalments before the end of the 2026-27 season.
That would see Man United pay one-third up front, and the following two-thirds at the end of the next two campaigns, and despite some negotiations, Wolves would not compromise.
Instead, Man United wanted to pay the fee over the course of five years, which was instantly rejected, with Wolves expectant that the club would honour their initial wish.
That has proven true, with Mokbel confirming that United have agreed to pay the £62.5m in instalments before the end of 2026-27, and Wolves have given them permission to speak to Cunha, with a deal now expected to be reached quickly.
Fabrizio Romano claims that personal terms were agreed on Sunday, and both parties can now move on with signing the required documents and completing the transfer, with a medical set to take place imminently.

Cunha speaks highly of Amorim
According to the Daily Mail, Cunha has been speaking Amorim up ahead of their potential link up next season, stating that the Portuguese is "a great coach".
The striker continued: "I hope he conquers the world like he conquered Portugal (with Sporting Lisbon), and God willing we do it together, I'll do everything I can to help."
Cunha may not be the only attacker coming in at Old Trafford this summer either, as reports have linked Liam Delap with a move to the club too, in what is set to be a major overhaul of the playing squad over the next three months.
Man United's current crop are in action tomorrow afternoon, after jetting off to Asia for two post-season friendlies, starting with a clash against ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur.
