Manchester United players have reportedly begged Bruno Fernandes not to leave during this summer's transfer window.
The 30-year-old has had an excellent 2024-25 campaign for the Red Devils, scoring 19 goals and registering 19 assists in 56 appearances in all competitions, but he could not help his side triumph in the Europa League final on Wednesday night.
Fernandes admitted after his team's 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur that he could leave this summer, with Al-Hilal seemingly in the driving seat when it comes to a potential deal for the Portugal international.
"I have always been honest. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go," Fernandes told reporters.
"I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club the great days. In the day that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it. But I've always said it, and I keep my word in the same way.
"If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is, and football sometimes is like this. It's very sad. We wanted to win more than anything in this final. It's a very sad day because we've done some very good things in this competition until today.
"But today was the day that mattered, the most important day of the competition. It was the day we could have been in the history of the Europa League, but it's not like that. And football is cruel, and it's been our turn to lose."

Fernandes has admitted he could leave Man United this summer
Al-Hilal are believed to be weighing up an £80m bid for Fernandes, but according to The Independent, there is also interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
There are said to be 10 clubs keen on the Portuguese this summer, with Man United in a difficult financial position ahead of the summer transfer window following their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Bayern are believed to view Fernandes as an alternative to Florian Wirtz, with Liverpool currently regarded as the firm favourites to sign the Germany international from Bayer Leverkusen.
Meanwhile, PSG are said to have a long-standing interest in the attacker, who is again set to captain the Red Devils in their final match of the 2024-25 campaign against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

Man United players 'urging' Fernandes to stay
According to The Sun, Man United players are urging Fernandes to remain with the club, with a source claiming that the dressing room 'would fall apart' if the Portuguese departed.
Fernandes will go down as one of Man United's best-ever signings, starring for the club since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in 2020.
The attacker has scored 98 goals and registered 86 assists in 289 appearances for the Red Devils, including 62 goals and 50 assists in 194 appearances in the top flight of English football.
