Spain boss Julen Lopetegui has said that he is "satisfied" with his team's "effectiveness in creating chances" ahead of Sunday's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Albania.

Lopetegui, who replaced Vicente del Bosque as head coach after Euro 2016, saw La Roja start their Group G campaign with an 8-0 win over Liechtenstein last month, before drawing 1-1 away to Italy on Thursday night.

Spain conceded late on to draw with Italy last time out, but Lopetegui has taken the positives from the clash in Turin, which the 2014 World Cup winners dominated for long spells.

"I am satisfied with the number of goals and our effectiveness in creating [chances]. We have nine goals from two official games," Lopetegui told reporters. "We are trying to create dangerous situations. To have 13 corners in Italy is a good thing."

Spain currently sit second in Group G, two points behind Sunday's opponents Albania.
