Nottingham Forest are allegedly among a number of Premier League clubs who are plotting a move for a Marseille winger during the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly identified a Brazilian winger as a potential summer transfer target.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side remain one of the surprise packages of European football albeit going off the boil in recent weeks.

Despite Sunday's 4-3 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon being their third in four games, Forest remain in third position in the Premier League table.

Club officials will be formulating several different transfer plans, dependent on whether Forest achieve Champions League qualification, European football in other competition or miss out altogether.

According to TBR Football, a player currently plying his trade for Marseille is on the radar of several Premier League sides, including Forest.

Henrique on way to England?

The report claims that the progression of Luis Henrique is being monitoring by both the East Midlands outfit and Sunday's opponents Newcastle.

Henrique has contributed a total of seven goals and four assists from his 23 appearances in Ligue 1 during the 2024-25 campaign.

While the vast majority of those strikes and assists came during the first half of the season, it has done little to dampen admiration in his ability.

Over a longer period, the former Botafogo starlet has 11 goals and 12 assists from his 98 outings for the French giants.

Everton are also said to be interested in enticing Henrique to England's top flight at a time when he is pushing for his debut for Brazil.

What is the most likely outcome?

Having emerged as a star man under Roberto De Zerbi, Henrique has justified the long-term contract that was handed to him in August.

With Marseille holding a six-point advantage in the race for Champions League qualification, Marseille may not be prepared to cash in on his signature should that be achieved.

Much may depend on the wishes of the player, but his only experience of playing at European football's top table was 97 minutes across three outings during 2020-21.

Improving on that particular total could be his priority in the short term, thus making it debatable whether he will consider a move to the Premier League in the short term.
