Manchester United forward Antony says that he is "very happy" at Real Betis, with the Brazilian regaining his confidence at the La Liga club.

Antony has said that he is "very happy" at Real Betis, with the Brazilian regaining his confidence at the club after making the move to Manuel Pellegrini's side on loan from Manchester United in January.

The 25-year-old has been in impressive form for Real Betis, scoring three goals and registering two assists in six appearances, with the forward being a standout player for the Green and Whites since his arrival.

Antony has said that "it was the best decision" to make the move to the Seville outfit, but he has not closed the door on reigniting his career at Man United, with the forward set to return to the Red Devils this summer.

"Yes, I am very happy, it was the best decision. Here I am enjoying the city, the club, everything every day. I am also very grateful for the affection I receive. The affection of the fans and of all the people at the club," Antony told Relevo.

"The most important thing in football is that you can have a lot of talent, but if you are not happy it is difficult for things to go well. For me being happy is the most important thing, that is why things happen naturally. It does not matter if you have a lot of talent, because if you are not happy it is very difficult.

Antony "very happy" at Real Betis after Man United struggles

"I am very used to always talking to God, it is something I do every day. When I joined Betis, I felt in my heart that I was calm and certain that everything was going to go well here. I had worked hard in England, mentally and physically, to get here in the best possible condition. I also spoke with the manager, who gave me a lot of confidence and that was very important.

"Everything has gone very well. That has also given me more confidence. In England I was playing little, but working hard. I came here prepared to do great things.

"First, I am very grateful to United. I had some difficult times, but some very good times too, I won titles. Lately I hadn't been playing much. I needed to be well, to be happy, to be confident. To be with myself so that things would work out, that's why I made the decision to come here to Betis, which I insist was the best decision. I am very confident here.

"That's what people always talk about, but I'm not focused on that. I have to be focused on playing, on being happy. People say that a lot of money was paid, but I know my worth. I know the person I am. I know all the things I went through.

" I don't fall for saying that there are €100m and such, but I know the things I went through. The history I have to conquer this. For me the most important thing is to be focused on being happy, on playing football and on being well with my family. That's the most important thing."

Does Antony have a future at Man United?

There is no getting away from the fact that Antony has struggled at Man United, only managing 12 goals and five assists in 96 appearances, with the forward finding it difficult to show the level that he reached at Ajax.

Antony had to leave on loan in January, and the move is proving to be beneficial for all parties, with Real Betis receiving a talented attacker, while Man United have moved out a player who was struggling to make his mark.

If Antony continues to perform impressively, then his price tag will rise ahead of the summer, but he could potentially return to Man United a revitalised player and then star for the team next season.

At this stage, it is understood that no firm decisions have been made, but if Antony is able to show his Ajax form, then there could be a spot for him at Old Trafford next term, especially considering the club's financial problems, which will make it difficult for them to significantly boost their squad during this summer's transfer window.
