Liverpool have confirmed that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract at the club, and the Egyptian attacker has also revealed the length of his new terms.
Salah was due to become a free agent at the end of the 2024-25 season and remained a prime target for the Saudi Pro League following Al-Ittihad's failed £150m offer in the summer of 2023.
The former Chelsea and Roma man repeatedly added fuel to the fire surrounding his situation, stating several times that he was playing this season as if it was his last at Liverpool and also claiming that he was "more out than in" of the club in late 2024.
However, both Liverpool and Salah were keen to continue their partnership for a little while longer, and a few days after a breakthrough was said to have been reached, the Reds have confirmed the attacker's extension.
"Of course I'm very excited. We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football," Salah told Liverpoolfc.com.

The electrifying Egyptian has cemented his place in Liverpool folklore since arriving from Roma in the summer of 2017 and now sits third on Liverpool's all-time scoring list with 243 goals from 394 appearances, only trailing Roger Hunt (285) and Ian Rush (346).
Amid the unwelcome distraction of his contract situation, Salah has enjoyed a scintillating 2024-25 season that puts him on course for the greatest individual Premier League campaign of all time, having scored 27 goals and set up 17 more in just 31 matches.
The 32-year-old - who has also won eight major honours with Liverpool - needs just one more goal contribution to break the record for a 38-game Premier League season, and four more to set a new all-time best in the competition.
Salah and Liverpool are virtually guaranteed another Premier League crown as they sit 11 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table, and while the Reds did not disclose the length of his new terms, the attacker confirmed that he hopes to take his stay to 10 years, suggesting he has signed a two-year renewal until 2027.
"It's great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it's going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career," he added.
"I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together. Keep supporting us and we'll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we're going to win more trophies."

Liverpool fans' Friday morning just got a whole lot better. The Reds should not have let themselves get into a position where three of their most integral players could leave for free, but all can see that Salah's journey at Anfield is not yet over.
The Egyptian may be turning 33 this summer, but such is his dedication to his personal goals and fitness levels that he is still hitting new heights, and he will now be chasing down a handful of other records.
Sergio Aguero, Andy Cole, Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane are there for the taking in the Premier League's all-time scoring charts, although overtaking Rush and becoming Liverpool's all-time leading scorer may be out of the question.
On Liverpool's side, now that Salah's renewal has been rubber-stamped, the Reds can focus on getting Virgil van Dijk's new terms over the line, before also addressing the situation of another key player who supposedly wants a £120,000-a-week pay increase to sign a fresh contract.
