Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly received an offer from Al-Hilal, with the Portugal international considering making a shock move to Al-Nassr's rivals in time to play at the 2025 Club World Cup.
The 40-year-old is the greatest goalscorer in the history of football, managing a staggering 936 goals in 1,729 appearances for club and country, in addition to contributing 257 assists.
Ronaldo made the move Al-Nassr in early 2023 following the breakdown of his relationship with Manchester United, and he has scored 99 times in 111 appearances for his current side, including 35 goals in 41 outings during the recent season.
The attacker's contract with Stefano Pioli's side is due to expire next month, though, and he recently suggested that his time with Al-Nassr had now come to an end.
In a post on Instagram, Ronaldo wrote: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."
Ronaldo 'receives offer from Al-Hilal'
According to journalist Santi Aouna, Ronaldo has received a contract offer from Al-Hilal, while he also has a deal on the table from Al-Nassr, with his current side battling to keep hold of him.
The report claims that 'everything is open', but the Portuguese is giving serious consideration to joining Al-Hilal, who finished second in the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League, eight points behind the champions Al Ittihad.
Al-Hilal are currently preparing to compete in the 2025 Club World Cup, with their opening match in the competition coming against Real Madrid on June 18, before tackling Red Bull Salzburg and Pachuca.
Ronaldo famously played for Real Madrid between 2009 and 2018, and he is the club's all-time record goalscorer with 450.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino recently claimed that Ronaldo could join a team playing in the upcoming tournament.
"Ronaldo might play for one of the teams as well at the Club World Cup," Infantino told YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed. "There are discussions with some clubs, so if any club is watching and is interested in hiring Ronaldo for the Club World Cup... who knows, who knows?"

Will Ronaldo play for Portugal against Germany?
Ronaldo has been named in the Portugal squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League semi-final against Germany on June 4.
There had been some doubt surrounding his involvement due to some recent fitness issues, but Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez recently said that the forward would be available for the last-four clash.
"Regarding Cristiano's fitness, he is available to play. There's no problem," Martínez told reporters. "I feel very happy with the quality that we have in the squad. We have many options. We have four players in the Champions League final and that is interesting."
The forward has 136 goals in 219 caps for Portugal, and he is fully intending to represent his national side at the 2026 World Cup, but it remains to be seen whether he signs another one-year contract with Al-Nassr or decides to seek a change.
