Saturday's League One predictions including Wrexham vs. Bolton Wanderers

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Wrexham vs. Bolton Wanderers.

Birmingham vs. Wycombe (Saturday, 12.30pm)

The top two meet in League One as Birmingham City host Wycombe Wanderers at St. Andrew's on Saturday afternoon, in the standout clash of the weekend.

The hosts are nine points clear of this weekend's opponents in the table heading into this clash, despite having played a game less than Wycombe.

We say: Birmingham City 2-0 Wycombe Wanderers

The hosts are the best team in the division, and we expect them to prove that once again at the weekend.

Wycombe have not looked at their best since the change in management earlier in the season, and with Birmingham looking unstoppable at home in the league, it is hard to look past them this weekend.

Wrexham vs. Bolton (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Two promotion contenders square off in League One this weekend, as Wrexham host Bolton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts come into this game in third place in the standings, just three points off the automatic promotion places, while Bolton are eighth, only outside the playoff zone on goal difference.

We say: Wrexham 2-1 Bolton Wanderers

Both sides have goals in them, and we expect this to be an entertaining match between two teams vying for promotion to the Championship.

Despite their recent woes at home, we think that Wrexham will bounce back from their disappointment in the EFL Trophy earlier in the week to secure a crucial three points in the race for promotion.

Barnsley vs. Lincoln (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Aiming to make it three straight victories and climb closer to the top six in the League One table, Barnsley will welcome Lincoln City to Oakwell on Saturday.

The hosts have moved within four points of the playoff spots with consecutive three-point hauls, while their visitors have fallen to 13th spot in the midst of a tough run.

We say: Barnsley 2-1 Lincoln City

With renewed confidence having ended their tough run with a pair of victories, we back Barnsley to come out on top again on their return to Oakwell on Saturday and further narrow their gap to the top six.

Bristol Rovers vs. Rotherham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Separated by three points in the bottom half of the League One table, Bristol Rovers and Rotherham United will do battle at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Back-to-back defeats have seen the hosts fall to just two points above the relegation zone, while their visitors sit 14th having not won any of their last five matches.

We say: Bristol Rovers 1-2 Rotherham United

With both sides being somewhat out of sorts and hoping to return to winning ways at the weekend, we see the Rotherham United's superior quality, which is yet to be reflected in their league position, shining through in a narrow away victory on Saturday.

Burton Albion vs. Mansfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

The Pirelli Stadium is set to host a League One relegation six-pointer when demotion-threatened Burton Albion face a struggling Mansfield Town on Saturday.

Surprisingly, the Brewers will come into this weekend's clash looking for a third win on the bounce, while the Stags will be desperate to stop the rot.

We say: Burton Albion 1-0 Mansfield Town

Burton have been in relatively strong form this year, and they seem the most capable of the relegation battlers at the moment.

Additionally, with Mansfield's desperate record in 2025 and the Brewers' back-to-back clean sheets leading up to Saturday's clash, Bowyer's side should be the favourites to take all three points.

Crawley vs. Cambridge (Saturday, 3.00pm)

In a crucial match in League One's fight for survival, Crawley Town will host bottom-of-the-table Cambridge United at Broadfield Stadium on Saturday.

The Red Devils will be desperate to avoid back-to-back defeats, while the U's will be hoping to continue strongly under their new boss.

We say: Crawley Town 1-1 Cambridge United

Crawley have done well to avoid defeat more often than not in recent weeks, but feeling the pressure to make up ground on Peterborough and Burton, they will be desperate to take all three points.

That being said, Cambridge won their first game under Harris, and his fresh ideas could see them pick up a share of the spoils on Saturday.

Exeter vs. Northampton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Exeter City host Northampton Town in League One this weekend, with the Grecians looking to climb above the Cobblers in the table.

Heading into the weekend, just one point separates the two clubs in the standings, with both sides sitting dangerously close to the drop zone in 17th and 18th.

We say: Exeter City 0-1 Northampton Town

The visitors will fancy their chances this weekend against an Exeter side that have not performed well at home throughout this campaign.

They will miss the presence of their top scorer McGeehan, but we still think that they can secure a narrow win here to boost their survival hopes.

Leyton Orient vs. Charlton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

A place in League One's playoff spots will be up for grabs on Saturday when Leyton Orient host in-form Charlton Athletic at the Gaughan Group Stadium.

The O's will be desperate to avoid falling down the table with a third straight defeat, while the Addicks will be full of confidence after a strong month in the third tier.

We say: Leyton Orient 1-1 Charlton Athletic

Orient have been in mixed form lately, and all of the momentum seems to be with Charlton ahead of this weekend.

However, the Addicks have struggled on the road this term, so while they may be the better side, do not expect them to take maximum points.

Peterborough vs. Shrewsbury (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Peterborough United play host to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday afternoon with the opportunity to move clear of the relegation zone.

However, at a time when Posh sit in 20th position in the League One table, the visitors are 23rd and just seven points adrift of their hosts.

We say: Peterborough United 1-1 Shrewsbury Town

With both sides having experienced contrasting results of late, Peterborough are the clear favourites to prevail. However, we are backing the visitors to find something extra than in recent games, earning themselves a hard-fought share of the spoils.

Stevenage vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Aiming to bounce back from consecutive defeats and remain in the top six of the League One table, Huddersfield Town will travel to the Lamex Stadium on Saturday to take on Stevenage.

The visitors now sit just two points ahead of the chasing pack in fifth spot, while their visitors returned to the top half with a victory last weekend.

We say: Stevenage 1-1 Huddersfield Town

While Stevenage's narrow victory over struggling Shrewsbury Town last time out was not overly convincing, they did again show the steel which could see them frustrate an out-of-sorts Huddersfield Town side on home turf at the weekend.

Stockport vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stockport County square off against Blackpool on Saturday afternoon searching for a win that will keep them in the hunt for automatic promotion.

While the home side sit in fourth position in the League One table, Blackpool are in 11th spot and just about clinging on to playoff contention.

We say: Stockport County 2-1 Blackpool

With Blackpool on a prolonged unbeaten streak in the third tier, they will back themselves to cause an upset at Edgeley Park. However, the home side should have enough quality to get back to winning ways, potentially courtesy of a late goal.

Wigan vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Reading travel up north to take on Wigan Athletic this weekend, as the two sides square off at the Brick Community Stadium.

The Royals are currently ninth in the League One table and could move into the playoff zone with a win this weekend, whereas the Latics are 14th, and seven points clear of the drop.

We say: Wigan Athletic 1-1 Reading

Reading have not been the same side away from home this season, so we think that this game will end in a draw.

The Royals have already drawn six times on their travels this season, and Wigan have not been at their best on their own patch themselves this year, so we believe a draw is the most likely outcome in this one.
