West Ham United, Leicester City 'submit unofficial offers' for Champions League record-breaker

West Ham United and Leicester City are reportedly in the race for Club Brugge star Chemsdine Talbi, who is also attracting interest from Napoli.

West Ham United and Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing Club Brugge attacker Chemsdine Talbi.

The Foxes are in desperate need of inspiration from within their current crop of players after losing 4-0 at home to Brentford in the Premier League on Friday night.

Leicester have now lost six straight matches at home in the top flight without scoring a goal, setting an unwanted English football record in the process.

After a title-winning campaign in the Championship last term, it appears that Ruud van Nistelrooy's side will be returning to that level next season.

The East Midlands outfit are currently occupying 19th spot in the Premier League table, five points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers in the relative safety of 17th.

West Ham, Leicester submit offers for Brugge hero Talbi?

According to Africa Foot, relegation-threatened Leicester are targeting an ambitious transfer ahead of the summer window despite their bottom-three concerns.

The report claims that the Championship-bound Foxes are interested in the signing of Club Brugge star Talbi during the upcoming transfer window.

It is understood that Van Nistelrooy's troops have submitted an 'unofficial' offer for the services of the 19-year-old ahead of next season.

As well as Leicester, it is believed that Premier League rivals West Ham have also launched an assault for the talented teenager recently.

There is said to be interest for Talbi outside of England, with Serie A giants Napoli supposedly tabling an official offer for the player.

Who is Chemsdine Talbi?

Bagging a brace in the 3-1 Champions League success over Atalanta BC earlier this month, Talbi became only the fourth player under the age of 20 in the competition's history to score twice in a knockout match.

As a result, it is unquestionable to say that either West Ham or Leicester would be massively thankful for the services of the 19-year-old next season.

Battling to remain as a top-flight club, it appears impossible for the Foxes to compete for Talbi's signature if they become a Championship outfit in May.
