Manchester United are missing 12 senior players for Sunday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur in North London.

Manchester United are missing 12 senior players for Sunday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur in North London.

Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Jonny Evans and Lisandro Martinez had already been ruled out of the match in the middle of last week, but the Red Devils then suffered more problems in the build-up to the clash.

Kobbie Mainoo is facing a period on the sidelines with a muscular issue, while Amad Diallo has an ankle injury which is likely to keep the Ivory Coast international out for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton are also missing with the issues that forced them sit out the FA Cup clash with Leicester City last time out, so Andre Onana is the club's only senior goalkeeper available for selection.

Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer are also absent due to injury problems, while Leny Yoro and Christian Eriksen are both unwell, so head coach Ruben Amorim is missing 12 senior players for the clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Amad, Mainoo, Ugarte among Man United absentees

Victor Lindelof is the only senior player on the Man United bench on Sunday afternoon, with Amorim forced to look to the youth side to fill the bench due to the list of absentees.

Chido Obi, 17, is among the substitutes, with the former Arsenal youngster in line for a spectacular debut in North London.

The forward has scored 12 times in 12 appearances at Under-18s and Under-21s level this season, including a hat trick against Chelsea Under-18s in the FA Youth Cup last time out.

Harry Amass, Tyler Fredricson, Elyh Harrison, Sekou Kone, Jack Fletcher, Jack Moorhouse and Ayden Heaven are also on the bench for Man United, so there could be a number of debutants on Sunday afternoon.

Like Obi, Amass and Fletcher are both 17 years old, while Harrison and Heaven are 18.

Fredricson, Kone and Moorhouse are all 19 years old, and it will be fascinating to see how Amorim uses his bench against Ange Postecoglou's side, who are also having a difficult Premier League season.

Will Obi make his Man United debut?

Man United have struggled in the final third of the field throughout the season, and if Amorim wants an impact player from the bench, then it is very likely that he will look to Obi, who was full of goals at Arsenal last term.

The teenager scored 32 goals in 18 appearances for Arsenal Under-18s last season, including 28 goals in his final nine appearances of the campaign, and he is viewed as one of the best young talents in world football.
