Report: Liverpool, Everton want Soualiho Meite

A report claims that Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton are battling for the signature of Lille midfielder Soualiho Meite.

Liverpool and Everton will reportedly go head to head for the signature of Lille midfielder Soualiho Meite.

The 22-year-old, who has previously been linked with West Ham United, is currently on loan at Belgian side Zulte-Waregem.

According to The Mirror, both Liverpool and Everton have watched the former France Under-20 international in recent months and will battle for his services in the January transfer window.

Meite joined Lille from Auxerre in 2013 and has made 30 Ligue 1 appearances for the French outfit.
