Chelsea have reportedly lined up a swap deal with Bayern Munich for German stars Leroy Sane and Timo Werner next summer, according to a report.
Spanish news outlet Todofichajes report that Werner is Bayern's "big goal for next summer", as they look to refresh their squad.
The German forward struggled in his first season in the Premier League in 2020-21, after moving from RB Leipzig to Stamford Bridge for a fee that could rise up to £57.6 million.
Werner managed just six goals in 35 Premier League appearances last term, and could now be pushed further down the pecking order following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are open to using Werner as part of a desired Leroy Sane transfer.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly earmarked the Bayern winger as his next target for the 2022 summer window, only a year after he joined from Manchester City for a fee that could rise to £72 million.
Like Werner, Sane had a mixed first season at his new club due to numerous injury knocks and inconsistent form.
He only managed 18 starts from a total 32 appearances in the Bundesliga last campaign, scoring six goals and registering nine assists, and it remains to be seen whether he is viewed as a key man to new manager Julian Nagelsmann.
