Southampton will be looking to break a club top-flight winning record away from home when they travel to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's side will be looking to return to winning ways after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Burnley at Turf Moor on Thursday night, a result which sees them remain 13th in the Premier League table.

The Saints head to the Amex having won each of their last three Premier League away games against Brighton, including the 2-1 victory in December 2020.

Should Southampton secure all three points on Sunday, they would win four successive top-flight away matches against the same opponent for the first time in their history.

Recent results in this fixture between the Seagulls and the Saints would suggest that the away side may have the edge, as the home team has never won in nine previous Premier League meetings between the two clubs.

Victory for Southampton could see them move into the top half of the table if other results were to go their way this weekend.
