Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he is "not worried" when it comes to Vinicius Junior's future despite the constant speculation linking the attacker with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that he is "not worried" when it comes to Vinicius Junior's future despite the constant speculation linking the attacker with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Vinicius has developed into one of the top players in world football during his time at Bernabeu, scoring 101 goals and registering 85 assists in 295 appearances for the capital giants in all competitions.

This term, the 24-year-old has 16 goals and 12 assists in 30 appearances for a Real Madrid side chasing a treble, but there is uncertainty when it comes to his long-term future in the Spanish capital.

Vinicius's current deal is due to expire in June 2027, and it is understood that both Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli want to bring him to Saudi Arabia in what would be one of the most spectacular deals of all time.

An offer of €300m (£251m) could reportedly be submitted to Real Madrid, with Vinicius then being offered a staggering €200m (£167.6m) a season on a five-year deal.

Ancelotti "not worried" by Vinicius exit reports

However, Ancelotti has said that he is "not worried", insisting that Vinicius is "happy" with life in the Spanish capital.

"I'm tired, yes, but I'm not worried. I see him happy and we are happy with him. It's a subject that is talked about outside, not here. Neither does he," Ancelotti told reporters during his press conference on Friday.

"Vinicius is eager to do well, as he did in Manchester and he will continue, because he is starting to be in good physical shape, after the injuries. I see him very motivated. Against City he was under a lot of pressure and he made the difference. I can only comment on what I see, a happy player who wants to make history at this club."

When asked whether Saudi Arabia is a threat to European football due to its financial power, Ancelotti added: "Arabia's situation should come as no surprise. They are hosting the 2034 World Cup and they are in a competitive momentum, although less so than Europe, as of today.... But in the future, we'll see. Me going? Why not. If I want to stay in football, why not."

Vinicius hinted at new Real Madrid deal earlier this week

After helping Real Madrid record a 3-2 win over Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League knockout round playoff on Tuesday, Vinicius hinted that he was keen to sign a new deal amid the recent speculation.

"They have not spoken to me yet. I think I need to talk to the president and the people involved. Hopefully, I can stay here for a long time because this is my home. This competition always gives us something extra, and I want to make history," he told Movistar.

In a separate interview with TNT Sports, Vinicius added: "I have always said that my desire is to stay at Real Madrid. I will finalise my contract negotiations in the coming days."

However, it has been claimed that Vinicius has rejected an opening contract offer from Real Madrid, with the Brazilian believed to have been attracted by the astronomical amount of money that he could earn in Saudi Arabia.
