Result: Norwich City up and running with win over Queens Park Rangers

Norwich City beat Queens Park Rangers 2-0 to claim their first win of the new campaign.

Norwich City have claimed their first win of the new Championship campaign after defeating Queens Park Rangers 2-0 at Carrow Road.

The visitors took the lead minutes after half time when Mario Vrancic's through-ball was collected by Nelson Oliveira, the Portuguese striker keeping his composure and placing his shot past Alex Smithies and into the net.

Jamie Mackie and Conor Washington wasted QPR's best opportunities to equalise and the Canaries punished them late on, doubling their lead with a 20-yard strike from Southampton loanee Harrison Reed.

As well as giving Norwich their fist win of the season, the result brought the visitors' unbeaten start to an end.

The victory puts the Canaries up to 10th in the Championship with four points, while QPR are one place below them with the same tally.
