Manchester United have reportedly been handed a significant injury boost regarding Ivorian attacker Amad Diallo, who is reportedly on track to resume team training as early as next week.
The influential 22-year-old has been sidelined since the middle of February with a serious ankle problem, one that has forced him to sit out the Red Devils' 14 matches across all competitions.
There were initial fears that Diallo would not play again this season due to the severity of his problem, although Ruben Amorim expressed hope last month that the winger would return for the last knockings of the campaign.
Diallo has continued to take small positive steps in his recovery at Man United's Carrington base, and he hinted at an imminent comeback on his social media channels earlier this month.
Now, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Diallo is due to return to full training with the rest of the team as early as next week, meaning that he ought to be available for the final few games of the season.

Following Romano's claim that the Ivory Coast international has recovered in 'record time', Diallo will step up his recovery in time for two critical Europa League semi-finals with Athletic Bilbao.
The ex-Atalanta BC man will remain unavailable for Sunday's Premier League showdown with Bournemouth, and it remains to be seen if he will be passed fit for the first leg with Athletic next Thursday.
Amorim will likely err on the side of caution with Diallo, but he could realistically make the bench against Brentford on May 4 and potentially against Athletic in the Europa League second leg on May 8.
Should Man United reach the Europa League final on May 21, Diallo should be fully fit and raring to go, and the same should be true for the Red Devils' final three Premier League games of the season against West Ham United (May 11), Chelsea (May 16) and Aston Villa (May 25).
The 22-year-old's imminent return will be music to Amorim's ears, as he blossomed into a crucial player for the club before his layoff, registering nine goals and eight assists from his first 36 games of the season.

Diallo's return to full team training will leave five Man United players in the treatment room, although one of them - Toby Collyer - should be back from his leg problem soon enough too.
Matthijs de Ligt and Ayden Heaven are also expected to return from their ankle issues before the campaign concludes, but the defensive duo may have to wait until May for their competitive comebacks.
However, neither Lisandro Martinez nor Joshua Zirkzee will play again this season; the former could be missing until 2026 with a knee problem, while Zirkzee sustained a campaign-ending thigh injury earlier this month.
Another loss for Man United this weekend could see them drop to as low as 17th place in the Premier League table, but a former Red Devils defender has told Sports Mole that it would be wrong to call Amorim's position into question.
