Liverpool and Fenerbahce are reportedly in advanced talks over a deal for Divock Origi, who is also wanted by clubs in Russia.

Liverpool and Fenerbahce are reportedly making progress in negotiations for out-of-favour striker Divock Origi.

The former Genk man has been lauded for crucial match-winning goals down the years at Anfield but has failed to become a mainstay of Jurgen Klopp's first XI.

Origi failed to secure a permanent move away from Liverpool before the English transfer window closed for business, but clubs in Turkey can still sign players until September 8.

As a result, Fotospor claims that Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has landed in Liverpool, with talks over a deal for Origi progressing "very quickly and positively".

The report adds that Liverpool attempted to offload Origi on deadline day last Tuesday but failed to do so, and clubs in Russia are also hoping to hijack a deal for the Belgian.

The 26-year-old has netted 35 goals in 157 games for Liverpool across all competitions but is due to become a free agent next year.
