Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering making a move for Marseille forward Mason Greenwood this summer.
The 23-year-old has scored 22 times and registered six assists in 36 appearances for Marseille, following on from the 10 goals and six assists that he managed while on loan at Getafe in 2023-24.
Greenwood scored 35 times and registered 12 assists in 129 appearances for Manchester United, but his time at Old Trafford officially came to an end on July 18, 2024.
According to Fichajes, Atletico are showing an interest in the forward, with Diego Simeone's side seriously considering making a move for him before the end of the summer transfer window.
The report claims that the La Liga giants want to boost their attack with the signing of a dynamic player, and the club view Greenwood as the ideal acquisition during the summer market.
Barcelona have also previously been credited with an interest in Greenwood, although the Catalan outfit are not believed to be considering making a move for him during this summer's transfer window.
Palace, Southampton 'interested in Girona attacker'
Meanwhile, according to Fichajes, both Crystal Palace and Southampton are interested in signing Girona attacker Viktor Tsygankov during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that there is a €30m (£26m) release clause in the forward's contract, which Girona are expected to point to if they receive an approach for the Ukraine international.
Tsygankov made the move from Dynamo Kiev to Girona in January 2023, and he has been a standout performer for the La Liga outfit.
The 27-year-old has scored 13 goals and registered 18 assists in 85 appearances for his current side, including a record of 13 goals and 18 assists in 76 outings in the top flight of Spanish football.
Tsygankov's versatility is believed to make him an attractive proposition for both Palace and Southampton, and the former are expected to have the edge, with the Eagles able to offer Premier League football.
Man United's Hugill joins Barnet on loan
Elsewhere, Manchester United forward Joe Hugill has joined Barnet on loan for the 2025-26 campaign.
The 21-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for the Red Devils, spending time out on loan with Altrincham, Burton Albion, Wigan Athletic and Carlisle United during his time at Old Trafford.
Barnet have now secured his services, with the Bees preparing for life back in League Two, having finished at the top of the National League last term.
“We’ve been after this type of player for a long time. Even though he’s tall, his movements and attributes are all in behind," Barnet manager Dean Brennan told the club's official website.
“He’s got pace, excellent finisher, very dynamic – we want him to look down the barrel of the goal. He’s such an exciting player, he’s like a Jamie Vardy / Michael Owen type.”
Hugill, who made the move to Man United in July 2020, has a contract with the 20-time English champions until the summer of 2026.
