AC Milan have reportedly become the latest Italian club to join the race for Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund.
The Denmark international continues to be linked with a move away, having struggled to produce his best form since his £72m move from Atalanta in 2023.
Hojlund has mustered 26 goals in 95 competitive matches for the Red Devils, including just four strikes in 32 Premier League appearances last term.
Man United are believed to be keen to sign a new number nine to strengthen Ruben Amorim's attacking options, which have already been bolstered by Matheus Cunha's arrival.
With Man United looking to sign a new centre-forward, there is a belief that Hojlund could find himself surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
AC Milan enter Hojlund race
The Denmark international has already been linked with a return to Italy, amid interest from Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus.
It was recently reported that Roma have also joined the race to sign the 22-year-old before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports News, AC Milan have become the latest Serie A side to show an interest in bringing Hojlund back to the Italian top flight.
The report claims that the Rossoneri are 'exploring the conditions' of a potential move for the former Atalanta striker.
Milan are keen to establish whether they could pull off a deal for Hojlund, as they look to add a striker to Massimiliano Allegri's squad.
Hojlund's Man United transfer stance
Hojlund spent a season in Italy with Atalanta, where he scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 34 matches across all competitions.
A move away from Man United would relieve some of the pressure that has been building due to his underwhelming form.
However, the Dane is reluctant to give up on his Man United dream, with the forward hoping to stay and fight for his place in Amorim's side.
As a result, it would likely take a significant push from Man United for Hojlund to leave before the transfer window slams shut later this summer.
Hojlund has three years left to run on his current contract, with his deal containing an option to extend by a further 12 months.
